Tenley is 8 months

This is a typical thing for Ty to be doing...he and his brother are always picking their nose

I cannot believe that my little baby is already 8 months old!! Where has the time gone? Tenley has been such a wonderful little blessing in her home! Her daddy often says, "How can you not just look at her and think she is the sweetest little girl...I just love her!" I have to agree with him! She is a little go-getter and I think she will be a lot like her mama...always on the go! She is crawling everywhere now, tries to pull herself up on the furniture or mom and dad, sits up all by herself, and says, "ah don (all done) and dada"! Still no mama, but every once in awhile she will say ma or mmm! I will take it:) She loves to play with her brothers and lights up when she see's them! She loves to jump in her jumperoo and really loves music! She is great a catching a ball when you roll it to her and she will even roll it back to you...we are really impressed by this! Yesterday she even threw the ball...do not know if she meant to, but she did! She loves to be outside and she is really intrigued by our big yellow lab, Sugar! We love you Tenley and our so glad you came into our lives!

Ty's friend, Isaac came over to play last week and they decided to sit on top of the deer where Isaac's little brother, Jackson, couldn't get them...poor Jackson! Ty came in to get me and insisted that I take a picture of them...aren't they just the cutest mischievous boys?? I just love how the camera captures their little personalities! They had a great time playing together and Ty and Tag just love to have their friends over!

Ty Gets His Tonsils Out

This is one of the pictures of his swollen face, but there were times when it was a lot bigger than this

Since Ty was 1 years old, he has had a lot of strep throat and then the left side of his face started swelling off and on. When this would happen, he would be in a lot of pain, have a fever, and didn't want to eat. We went to several doctors to try and figure it out, but no one really knew what was going on. Now he is 4 1/2 and we finally got things taken care of. We saw an ENT and had to have Ty get a CatScan...this was not a fun experience! He did not want to have the IV put in, and he certainly did not want to go inside the machine! I had to bribe him with a DS just to get him to do the CatScan! Well, they still didn't really see anything, but everything was really swollen, so they decided to take his tonsils out!

Ty was not happy with his mom and dad for making him get his tonsils out. He had been poked so many times that he was sure it was going to hurt! We reassured him that he would be asleep through the whole thing, but he was still was so upset with us and let us know it! On February 24, 2011 we got to the surgery center he was fine, but was mad that he couldn't eat or drink anything. When we got back to the bed and had to get him changed, he FREAKED OUT!! He was screaming at us and trying to kick and hit us! We tried to be understanding, but then when he started to kick and hit, dad had to lay the law down! We tried to make him laugh with the silly hat, but as you can tell from the pictures, he was still so mad! Then, this really great nurse came in and got his pulse, blood pressure, and temperature and he had fun looking at the machine and realized it didn't hurt! From that point on, he was a changed little boy and was so brave when they took him back! The nurses were amazed at how well he did even after he woke up from the surgery. He started to freak out at the IV in his hand, but the nurse let him know it was just "red paint" on his hand from where they cleaned it. He was totally okay with it after she told him it was only "paint"! He was so sleepy after he woke up that he slept most of the way home. He didn't throw up at all until after he ate a little bit and then he gracefully threw up in the car! We didn't even know what was happening until it was over because he was so calm about it! When we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's house, he was happy and really did great! The next day all he wanted to do was play and really didn't complain about the pain. He did a lot better than we thought he would and we were so proud of him.

It has been two weeks now and he is all better and doing great! I think he feels pretty cool because he got his tonsils out!

Josh took the boys to the mountain with him and they had a great time playing and sliding down on their bottoms! They LOVE hanging out with their dad and nothing could make me happier!!

Where Did the Last 3 Months Go?

Breakfast time!

e

I cannot believe that I haven't posted anything since Christmas! Life has been busy and I feel like the months have just flow by, so there will be lots of pictures for this post! In January I went to Colorado Springs to visit my best friend, Mel Jensen, for my birthday! I actually flew out on my birthday and was spoiled the entire weekend! It was the best birthday I have had in years...sorry honey! It was so great to see her family and to spend hours and hours just talking and hanging out! We went out to dinner with two of her friends and that was lots of fun! Then we went to a Wii dance party with some of her other friends and that was a BLAST! I am totally hooked and want to have my own Wii dance parties! We also went on a tour of the Olympic Training Center and it was so neat and the video they play brought tears to my eyes and was so inspirational! We went to Valley of the Gods, but it was cold that day, so I just walked around by myself while Mel and Tenley stayed in the car! It was a great weekend and now that we know how cheap the tickets are, we would like to see each other more often!

The other pictures are of the boys shooting with their dad...they LOVE to go shooting and I know Josh is thrilled about that! We also took the boys fishing with my good friend Jill and her kids! I would love to say it was a relaxing fishing trip, but with 4 little boys and two small babies...it was a little crazy! The boys love to play outside in their sandbox and make mud puddles! They were loving getting all dirty and wet! Their new thing is getting in their swimsuits and going swimming! They are crazy, but I guess they really want it to be summer so they can go swimming!

Tenley is growing so fast and is so much fun to have in our home. She still has no teeth, but LOVES to eat food! She was rolling all over the house and as of Monday, she has started to crawl and can sit up pretty good all by herself! She loves to bounce, so we borrowed a Jumperoo from my sister-in-law! It is fun to watch bounce and bounce! She is full of laughter and smiles! She loves her brothers and lights up when they walk in the room! We still have to remind them to be careful, but they do pretty good!

Mel got this cute little dress for her...I love it on her!

Cambria and Tenley were fast friends! It was fun to see them look at each other and get a little grin across their faces!
This was at Cave of the Winds...it reminded me of the view of the Grand Canyon...breathtaking!
