Tag is 7 months old!

lkTag turned 7 months old yesterday! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by! He is such happy little guy and so much fun to be around. He has 2 bottom teeth, loves to scoot across the room to various things that he sees, and loves to eat food! Mom and dad love to snuggle with him in our bed before we put him to sleep in his own bed! He babbles lots of crazy things and now says "da da or dee dee" depending on the day! We love little Tag so much! He and daddy do this fun trick...he is a lot stiffer than Ty ever was so it works really well with Tag. He still loves to bounce and seems to have a "perma grin"! He loves his older brother and anytime Ty is close by he tries to wrestle with him or slobber all over Ty's head and face! It is the cutest thing to watch. I have a feeling they are going to be best buds and get into all sorts of ruckus when they are older! We took Tag on a ride in the old Chevy last night as it was raining and muddy and he love it! Looks like he will be just like his older brother in the truck area! We love you Tag...thanks for all the laughs!

This year it was our turn to spend Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with my family. We had our plane tickets bought and paid for (we got a great deal), but then the company called and said they would no longer be flying to Oklahoma after October. I was soooo annoyed! I looked for tickets, but everything was way more expensive than our orginal tickets, so we decided to make the 18 hour drive. I am happy to report that it went really well! We left at 3:30 in the afternoon and the kids slept most of the time. Ty didn't take his nap, so he was asleep about an hour after we left. Tag is still at the age where he sleeps a lot and that was so wonderful. They woke up for a few hours and then fell back asleep for the rest of the night. We drove all night and arrived in Oklahoma at 11:30am. I know the kids were ready to stretch their legs, but they did super on the drive there! Josh and I took turns driving and that is how we were able to drive through the night. I must say that it is worth it to travel through the night when you have little one:)
We had a wonderful time in Oklahoma, but it went by way too fast. I was so excited because I was able to see my old roomate and best friend from college. Mel, Tom, Taylor, and Max all came to my parents house and were able to stay and visit for a couple of hours. It was so much fun to see their family again. Mel and I had a blast together at OSU and we haven't seen each other in some time, so I was so happy that things worked out the way they did. Before they left we got these cute pictures of Taylor and Ty hugging each other! We've decided that they are "meant for each other!" The cousins had a lot of fun together for the most part. You know how it gets when they get tired...tempers flare and kids get mean! No, they really played great together! My mom kept all our dance, show choir, etc. outfits and the kids use these as their dress up clothes! We had to steal a picture of Ashlynn and Brent in the dress up clothes! Brent, this will be used against you when you are about 16:) Ty was lucky and got out of his clothes before the picture was taken! The kids loved playing outside and had a blast jumping on the trampoline with Aunt Brita and Uncle Mike. They also loved the horse swing...I think Uncle Drue was really good a pushing them high in the sky. Of course, what would Thanksgiving be like if the boys and dad didn't go hunting everyday? This is one of the reasons that all the boys come home at this time of year...to go deer hunting on dad's land. They had a lot of success and all of us were able to fill our freezers full of meat for the year! What a blessing that is! I know that everyone got at least one deer, but I am pretty sure that Josh was the only one who didn't get a shot at a buck! Maybe next time. I went hunting a couple of times, but didn't get the job done. I had this buck in the perfect position, but I didn't a dumb thing and he got away. Now it just haunts me in my mind. It is always fun to go and enjoy the beauty of the earth and all the creatures! We also had a girls day and that was great fun. We headed to the Oklahoma City for a day of shopping, pedicures, lunch, and a movie! It was lots of fun and it's always nice to bond with each other! The guys got to stay home and watch all the kids...this is what they get for hunting so much. They had a great time with all the kids. They took them to McDonalds for lunch and then went out to the land for the rest of the day! There were some minor things that happened...kids falling into sticker patches, but other than that they had a wonderful time and had some great fathers watching out for them. Dad was so happy that all his grandchildren were out at his land! This really meant a lot to him. Thanksgiving was delicious, but my tummy was just to small to enjoy all that food at once. It was fun to nibble on the leftovers for the next couple of days! We had a wonderful day and I really loved the Family Home Evening we had afterward. This year has been a special year for our family and the things that I was thankful for this year were: Our family being sealed together for time and all eternity and Tag being born healthy and strong. I will never forget 2008 and all the wonderful blessings that have come our way this year. It was hard to say goodbye to everyone and I am just so excited that we will reunite with everyone in May for our family reunion. I love my family so much and I wish that we all lived closer! I had a wonderful time with each of you and look forward to many more years of fun times!

Tag is 6 months!

Tag is now 6 months old! Time is gone by so fast and it is hard to believe that he is already 6 months old! I took both the boys to the doctor yesterday for the checkups! Ty had his 2 year check up and flu shot and Tag had is 6 month shots and flu shot too! They both did very well! Ty started to cry, but it was over before he could get any tears out! Here are the recent stats!

Ty is 30 lbs and 36" long. The doctor said that he was a big boy for his age...I have to agree! It kills me to hold or carry him around! She said he was talking really good and had all the bruises of a little boy! She also told me that I was giving him too much milk...whoops! I didn't know really know there was such a thing, so I am trying to cut back, but Ty isn't liking it too much! I think it is a genetic thing because all of Josh's family LOVES milk!

Tag is 19.3 lbs and 27" long! He too is a big boy for his age! I hate having to tote him around for too long because my arms feel like they are going to fall off...I mean that literally! The doctor was happy that he could get up on his knees. He still has a hard time sitting up by himself...he tend to fall where he is looking! I'm not to worried...it will all come in due time! Tag also has teeth that are right at the surface they just need to break through and we would all be happy!

I am just so grateful that my boys are healthy! That is truly a wonderful blessing that I think we take for granted too often. With that being said here is a video of Tag on his jumperoo! He LOVES this thing and was in for the entire first day we had it (unless he was napping)! He bounced like this in my stomach and has been doing it ever since, now the toy can take the abuse and not my tummy! I think he is so cute when he really gets going!

More of California

Bruce's last soccer game! He did so awesome and stopped 2 balls!
Bree and Ty had fun in the bath together!
Everyone playing outside! It was a little chilly!
Ty thought it was fun to climb in the porta-crib with his brother and steal his binky!
HMMMMM!!!

Tag loved this toy and all the fun noises it made!

We are back home and packing our things again to head to Oklahoma! After this next trip, I am done traveling for awhile! It is hard to live out of a suitcase and we all miss our own beds when we are away! However, we had a TERRIFIC time at Aunt Carrie and Uncle Brian's house! The kids had a great time playing together and I think they miss each other now that they are apart! Tag started getting up on his knee's while we were in California and is loving it! He will rock back and forth and every once in a great while he will even move a knee forward before he falls on his face...so cute! Ty was so worn out each day from all the playing that we were able to get some great photos of him sleeping! Carrie and I went to Target one evening and left Brian at home with all the kids! When we got home we found Ty asleep on the love sack in this crazy position. Brian said he sat down like that and was out like a light. None of us are quite sure how he could even manage to sleep in such an awkward position...I'm still perplexed by it! The one of him asleep in bed was the next morning after we arrived...he was so tired from the pumpkin patch that he slept in and was out as I took this picture of him.

Beau loved to hold and feed Tag and I thought it was just the sweetest thing! He loved Tag! Bree, on the other hand, loved to bite Tag right on the melon! The poor thing was never safe when Bree was around! We are talking tooth indention on the poor things head and then permanent red marks afterwards! We still love Bree and I am still in trouble from Josh because she managed to bite him while I was changing a very poopy diaper! I keep telling Josh that there was poop everywhere and I was looking at his bum and not his head! He still won't let it go...someday he might understand! Anyhow, we had a wonderful time and the kids survived the drive home really well! Now lets see how they do on the 20 hour ride to Oklahoma! I have been praying all week that they will do good!!! I have lots of treats and snacks prepared just in case!

The Awesome Pumpkin Patch

What a wonderful time we had visiting this fun pumpkin patch in California with my sister Carrie and her family! We went to the pumpkin patch the day we arrived, which worked out great because the kids had been in the car for over 6 hours and needed to get out and stretch their legs! This was the perfect way to do it! First we went down the huge slide and Ty and Tag loved it. Then we visited the petting zoo and Ty loved the pot belly pig, goats, and rabbits! It was so fun to watch the excitement on his face as he followed the animals around! After that we waited and waited and waited in line for Ty to do the trampoline! He saw his cousin, Beau, do it and from that point on he kept saying as he pulled on my arm, "get on it mom, get on it mom!" We were all a little nervous because he was the smallest one to go and we didn't know if he would like it. The guy started out really small and kept asking Ty, "do you want to go higher?" Ty would say, "higher" He kept going higher and higer and laughing as he did so! The very last time that he went was the highest he went and he smiled and laughed the entire way up and down! The guy was so impressed and so was everyone watching! I was so proud of him and was sad that his dad wasn't there to see his brave little boy! The guy said he would ask him if he was having fun and Ty would say "fun!" I am so glad that we waited so long in line for this ride! We had a great time and the kids were exhausted by the end of the night!

Happy Halloween!

I am posting these pictures a little late because we have been staying at my sister, Carrie's, house in California for the past two weeks! It has been crazy around here, but the kids are fast asleep and I am trying to get this done before they awaken! They joys of naptime!

Halloween was so fun this year now that Ty is a little older and he was able to spend it with his cousins! I think he got more excited because he saw how excited his cousins were to go trick or treating! I found this cute cowboy costume and thought Ty would make the cutest cowboy! He has been into wearing his dad's cowboy hat, so I thought this year he might actually keep it on! Guess what? He kept it on all night! We taught him how to say trick or treat and hold his pumpkin out for candy! We were always the last ones at the door, so he never got to knock on the door, but was just as happy to go up and get CANDY!!! He loves chocolate, so he was loving all the chocolate candy he was getting! We stayed in Carrie's neighborhood and everyone was so friendly and loved seeing all the costumes! Ty did start to get tired, so we came early while everyone else finished the neighborhood! Since that night all we hear is, "can I have some candy?" It is morning, night, and noon! I am beginning to hate Halloween or at least all the candy you get from it! We finally put the candy up so the kids couldn't see it!

Tag was the cutest little pumpkin and loved riding in the stroller all night long!! All I could see was his little feet kicking the entire time...it was sooo cute! As for the cousins, Beau was a ninja, Bruce a pirate, and Bree a princess! Beau was karate chopping people all night long and I think Bruce was not enjoying having make-up on his face! Bree was loving all the attention she was getting from everyone! What a fun night and I am excited for Tag to be able to enjoy it more next year!
