What Spice are You?

Thanks Coty! This was a lot of fun! Now tell me if it is right on or a little off!

You Are Basil

You are quite popular and loved by post people.

You have a mild temperament, but your style is definitely distinctive.

You are sweet, attractive, and you often smell good.

Glenn Family Reunion

Here's the wide load I was talking about. It had 2 semi's in the front pulling and 2 semi's in the back pushing. I have never seen anything like it! I wish I could have got a better picture, but I was too close for this big load.
Father and son walking hand in hand! I love this picture!
Josh showed Ty how to throw rocks as we waited for the wide load to pass on the 2 lane road we were traveling on. It was a crazy big wide load!
Here is another picture of the straight down ride on the tram! YIKES!!
We were going straight down at this point and I was trying to get a picture of how scary it was! I didn't do it justice

This is my Uncle Kent and his three girls on the tram at Sundance. I can't believe how grown up they are. I remember when each of them was born...I feel sooo old!

Ty went straight to this tractor when we arrived. Now he says, "drive tractor" all the time and I have to explain that we don't have a tractor. The poor kid has a melt down everytime.

I love the beautiful view behind me!
My mom, me, and Aunt Bonnie are cooling off before we head back to the cabin.

This past weekend (August 14 -16th) we had the Glenn Family Reunion in the Provo Canyon. We had such a wonderful time and it was so good to see all of the family. Most of them I had not seen since right after my mission. It was a jammed packed couple of days, but we had a great time. Ty loved running around and disappeared quite often. We really didn't have to look very far because he was always out in the parking lot either checking out all the tires on the cars, looking at the dirt bike, or wanting to sit in the tractor. He was so happy when daddy put him in the tractor and let him pretend he was driving. Tag just hung out for the most part, but was a very good baby. He was the second youngest there...he got beat out by a two month old!

On Friday, we went on a hike to Stewart Falls. I should say that Tag and I went on the hike and Josh and Ty went to Cabelas! Josh is not a hiker and was soooo happy to go to Cabelas. I had a good time on the hike, but my body was screaming by the end of it! I realized just how out of shape I am. It didn't help that I was carrying a 13 pound weight on my front. Tag did great, but I don't think he liked the cool breeze from the waterfall! I wish I would have a gotten a picture of just the falls, but I didn't. In fact, I was really bad a taking pictures! After the hike, we went over to Sundance Ski Resort and rode the tram. It was a fun ride, but got a little chilly at the end and Tag started to scream because it was time to eat. The tram was a little longer than I had expected. At one point you are going straight down and it was sooooooo scary. I tried to get a picture, but I don't think it does it justice.

We had a great time and it was nice that Josh got to finally meet some of my extended family! I am so thankful for family and hope that we will continue to be able to get together! For those of you who didn't make it, you were really missed.

About Us

This is for Misti! Thanks for tagging me.

What is his name? Joshua, but he goes by Josh

How long have we been married? Three years and three months

How long did we date? 6months before engagement, and 6 more months after that

How old is he? 28 (almost 29)

Who eats more? He does unless I have eaten very much that day and then I do

Who said I love you first? He did and I was the first girl he had ever said it too:)

Who is taller? Josh

Who sings better? I do, but he has a good voice when he tries

Who is smarter? We are each smarter in different areas...I think that is fair

Whose temper is worse? We both do. He is vocal about it though and I am silent

Who pays the bills? I do.

Who does the laundry? I do

Who cooks dinner? I do unless it isn't ready when he gets home and then he will eat something crazy like saltine crackers and milk.

Who drives when together? Josh

Who is more stubborn? I would say Josh, but I am sure he would say me.

Who is the first to admit when wrong? I do. I love my husband, but he has only apologized once the entire time we have known each other....no joke!

Who wears the pants in the family? I think we both do, but I think he would say I do most of the time. If he feels strongly about something (i.e. no life insurance) then he puts his foot down.

Who mows the lawn? I do because it is "my lawn"

Who kissed who first? Josh kissed me first out on his farm.

Who asked who out first? He asked me out first after I strongly hinted:)

Who proposed? He did

What is my favorite thing about him? He truly has a good heart. He is always willing to help anyone and everyone. That is one of the first things I fell in love with. He is a great dad and loves to take his boys with him whenever he can. He supports me in the things that are important to me. He works so hard so I can stay home and be a mom and he never complains about it. He it very honest and I love that about him. He is a wonderful man and husband and that is why I married him!

I tag Mel, Jaclyn, and Trine! If you don't have time to do this I won't be upset:)

Our Oklahoma Trip

c

Okay, all the kids liked to take off there bathing suites everytime they played in the back yard. We gave up and let them go naked.

Our Oklahoma Trip (July 11 - 25, 2008)

We had such a wonderful time in Oklahoma. My sister, Lauri, was going home to visit and told my sister, Carrie, that she should try and come. Well, Carrie called me and I was able to find some cheap tickets, so we were able to go to. I know we all missed our other sister, Rikki, but she lives in France, so it would be really expensive for her to come too. It was so great to see my sisters again and I know that Ty had a great time with all of his cousins. They played together all day long and for the most part they played well together. We went to the country club pool everyday and the kids loved the kiddie pool there. I remember so many wonderful summers that were spent at that pool. As kids, we were there everyday for most of the day. It was fun to take my children there to swim.

Grammy and Poppy also had a little swimming pool and the hot tub that the kids played in before we went to the big pool. They had so much fun splashing each other and sliding down the little slide. They also fixed up the little red tractor we had as kids and Ty loved that thing. I think they all loved it because when one would get off it was a race to see who could get on it.

Grammy also gave 4-wheeler rides to all the kids. They hooked up the trailer and all the kids got in the back and went for a wild ride. A few times we had to tell Grammy to slow down because us mothers were afraid our little ones would fly out when they hit a bump. They all loved it and it was fun to see all their blond heads bobbing up and down.

Another highlight was the trampoline. To bad for those mosquitos...they ate us alive so we didn't like to be out by the trampoline and swing for too long. We had 8 kids there and 6 were under the age of 3! It was a CRAZY and NOISY house, but I think it was sooooo worth it. Feeding time ( I love the way that sounds) was absolutely CRAZY. All the kids were so hungry that there was a lot of crying and screaming involved. Bedtime was WONDERFUL...finally some peace and quiet...did I mention relaxation too?

It was also great because we hired a babysitter a few times so we could hang out with our parents or just as sisters. We went and saw the movie Mama Mia and had a great time with that. I couldn't stop singing the song for a couple days. Thanks dad for coming along with all us girls to such a "chick flick"! Another highlight was getting our favorite double doozie cookies! We all looked forward to going to the mall and getting a cookie and chatting about life. Carrie and I had a few places we wanted to hit before we left....Braums and Sonic. We enjoyed our Braums, but were a little disappointed in the Sonic. I think it is so funny the things you miss when you move away. Us western states people don't have Braums and really miss it and the Sonic's aren't near as good as the ones back home.

What a great time it was to be back home with my sisters. I already miss them so much and can't wait to get together again.

Oh, I must write about my trip home. The plane ride out to Oklahoma was a piece of cake, but the ride home is a totally different story. It was going so well, we said goodbye to my mom who was able to come to the gate with us to help me with the kids. We were on the plane and the seat we were suppose to be in Ty's carseat wouldn't fit because the arm rest didn't come up. I requested the first seat because I knew Ty would kick the back of the seat if someone was in front of us. So now we were in the second row and there was a couple in front of us. Ty starts kicking the seat and the couple ask why we couldn't sit in those seats. The flight attendant tells them the carseat wouldn't fit and the couple replies, " so we have to sit here and have him kick the back of our seat?" At this point I am feeling soooo bad. I apologize and try to hold Ty's legs. Meanwhile, Tag decides to start crying and it is seriously 100 degrees on the plane. I sweating like crazy and it doesn't help that I am trying to hold Ty's legs down and hold Tag at the same time. We sat on the plane for about 40 minutes and by the end of it I was in tears. The lady in front of Ty's seat turned around and said I have 2 kids of my own just don't worry about it. When she said that the tears just came and I apologized and thanked her at the same time. All the passengers on the plane are really getting mad at this point because of the heat. Well, to make matters worse, Ty starts crying, Tag starts crying, and I am crying. I am sure we looked like a CRAZY family. I was drenched with sweat, Ty had sweat coming down his forehead and Tag was hot too. The flight attendant was trying to fan us because she was worried about Tag being so hot. Well, they finally let us off the plane because it was going to be another 20 to 30 min. before the plane was fixed. Everyone was so kind when they got off, asking if I needed any help. I was still in tears and felt like a complete idiot, so I declined there help. We were the last ones off the plane and Ty ran around until we were able to get back on the plane. I am just so glad that when we got on the plane we were able to get up in the air and have some air conditioning. We left 2 hours late, so Josh was not happy that he had to wait at the airport for 3 hours. It was a very long day and I don't plan on flying by myself for a very long time.
