Soccer Season

Soccer Season is upon us again! Ty and Tag were so excited to play and this year they just happen to be on the same team. There coach is Coach Sobrio and he has been such a great coach! He is so good with the kids and pushes them because he knows what they are capable of. Ty has really improved this year and has made at least 7 goals! It is so fun to see the huge smile on his face after he scores a goal! You can just see his sense of accomplishment and excitement! Tag is a good little soccer player for his first time ever playing! He is really good a maneuvering the ball and turning the ball around! He has made at least 1 goal this season and was so excited! As a mom, I just love seeing the joy in their eyes and little faces! Their dad has a harder time than me and gets frustrated with them more! He knows he needs to work on it, but it just frustrates him when they are "up in the clouds" and not hustling or paying attention! I try to remind him that they are in kindergarten and 1st grade and are still learning! Grandpa Kelly was exactly the same when Josh was growing up, so I guess it runs in the family! Our last soccer game is this Saturday and then it will be on to Flag Football! I have really enjoyed watching them play and it was so nice this year because we didn't have to drive back and forth to Moapa!

Happy 7th Birthday Ty

Ty was the best little baby and he has grown up to be a wonderful boy and big brother! We are so proud of him!

My Handsome 7 year old! That doesn't even seem possible

The Nelson's and the Greig's are just like family to my kids!

Ty and Isaac have been friends since they were just tiny babies!
 Gotta love this get-up

Every year, Ty's birthday falls on General Conference weekend! We celebrated his birthday a day early because the Priesthood session was in the evening of his actual birthday! The Greig's and the Nelson's came over to celebrate with us! We had a BBQ and the kids just played and played and played! I made Josh set up the new trampoline up because I knew the kids would have a blast playing on it and that is where they spent most of their time that night! We ate some yummy cake and ice cream and I think we were all stuffed by the end of the night! Ty was so excited to get the Wii Skylanders! His friend, Isaac, has it and he has been dying to get it! I had already ordered the game when the boys tried to play the Wii and it wouldn't work! Great...now he has a birthday present that he won't be able to play! My good husband went on Ebay and found a Wii with all the accessories for $50 so we got that for him instead of the planned BB gun! He also got two beyblades, which he is loving, some handcuffs, $10, and $25 from Grammy and Poppy! I told him he could have the $10, but the $25 was going in his mutual fund for a mission or college! I was so proud of him for not complaining about that and just being happy he got to keep the $10! Ty has been such a good boy his whole life! He is so kind to others, a great big brother who will play with his little sister when she asks, and is so good to help mom and dad when we ask him! That is not to say that he is perfect at those things all the time, but he really is a good kid! He is loving reading (that makes his parent so happy), doing great in school, and right now is loving soccer. He has improved so much this year from last year! I think he has made 4 or 5 goals so far this season! It is so fun to see the sheer joy and excitement on his face when he scores a goal! Ty doesn't like to get in trouble or scolded and I think that is why he is such a good kid! I am so grateful he came to our family and pray that I will be the mother that he can always come to...no matter what! We love you Ty and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Happy 34th Birthday Dad!

All the kids wanted a turn blowing out the candles

Those are candles hanging out of his mouth...it took me a minute to figure that out

Josh turned 34 on Monday September 30th! For his birthday he requested lemon cake with lemon frosting. I found a great lemon cream cheese frosting recipe and went to work. He was the only one who ate his cake because the rest of us are not fans of lemon cake. We let him go elk hunting for a day for one of his presents, Tenley made a cute little card that was good for 10 whole kisses, Tag gave him a great big hug, and Ty told him a story about a monster! I thought the kids' gifts were so cute and very creative. He really wants a new bow so I have been putting money in an account for him and hopefully it will be his birthday and Christmas present. Lets just say it is really expensive! We had a great time with Dad on his birthday! Dad found this tarantula at work and was so excited to bring it home for the boys! The boys thought it was AWESOME and wanted to keep it, but mom was mean and said, "NO!!!" Josh said it was the biggest one he had ever seen! I was glad that got to see it, but I was even more glad when it was released back into the desert!

Jensen Family Reunion

The tire swing is always a must...they love it

Anson and the others listening at church...what good kids!

As Josh would say, "two crazy ladies!" Aunt Jan and Grandma Jensen
Tenley is only the second girl on the Jensen side and her aunts just love to do her hair...they had all boys! She looked just like a little princess! Thanks Aunt Janarah!

Taz loved it up there, but was tired from all the kids chasing and playing with him

 Janarah, Jare, Ticia, and Mike
 Jensen Family Olympic Games

This was so funny to watch

Tag found out what happens when you run on a wet bathroom floor! We were worried he broke his cheek bone, but he just bruised it good! I think he learned his lesson though...he very careful now!

Every year over Labor Day weekend we have the Jensen Family Reunion up on Kolob Mountain! This year we got a lot of rain and cool weather, but it was nice to get away from the heat of the summer! The kids were off and running as soon as we got out of the truck! Every night they would come to dinner covered in dirt, but having a blast with all their cousins. We always love going to the mountain and being with family! Josh was very involved in the horse shoe tournament and I was very involved in RELAXATION!!! It was a great weekend and it is always hard to leave and come back to reality! However, the ride home is always so peaceful because the kids are out before we get off the mountain!
