The weather has been in the upper 80's and lower 90's these past couple of weeks! It has been so nice outside that we decided to buy this little pool for the boys. Last year, we put up our big pool, but decided we wouldn't put it up this summer because the boys have more fun in this little pool and it is cheaper and easier to keep clean. All day long Ty was begging me to go swimming, so we finally went and got the pool without daddy. We filled it up as soon as we got home and the boys had a blast swimming in it. The water was so cold and the pool was in the shade, but they still wanted to swim. Poor tag had the goose bumps and his lips were turning purple, so we decided it was time for a nice warm bath.

A couple days later, we went over to my friend, Jill's, house and they too bought a little swimming pool. Isaac really wanted Ty to get in and swim, but he was having too much fun riding the bike. It was amazing because we have been trying to teach him how to pedal a bike, but he was having a hard time with it. When he got on the bike he did it all by himself! I was so proud of him and of course I had to capture it on video! Now he loves to ride his bike, but he has to ride it in the street and I don't like that! Too many people go flying down our street and I worry about him! He is doing great though and growing up way too fast! Tag would only get his feet in the water and enjoyed picking the flowers more than anything else! Poor Isaac was all alone in the pool, but he still had a great time!

Father and Sons was also held on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th of April. Josh didn't find out about it until the day of so we weren't very prepared. He wasn't too excited this year because they were camping down the road from where we live! He wasn't going to pack up all the camping equiptment to sleep down the road, so they went for Friday evening and then went back on Saturday morning. Ty had a great time, but managed to burn his fingers twice on the fire...you think he would learn the first time!! They did a service project for a lady I visit teach and that made me so happy. She really appreciated their help and I was so happy that they were able to help her. She had an old car there and I guess Ty would walk around the car saying, "My car!" Everyone thought it was really funny!

Last but not least, Josh must have captured these photos of Tag asleep on the recliner after church! We have 1:00pm church this year and we really hate it. Ty doesn't get a nap and is a "monster" during sacrament...thank goodness he goes to nursery because he LOVES it! Tag misses his afternoon nap, so Josh usually takes him home after opening exercises of priesthood for a nap! I don't like him to do this, but I am busy in primary doing the music, so he is in charge of Tag! What do ya do?

Easter in Monticello

For the past two years we have gone to Monticello for Easter. It is a long drive, but the kids (including Josh) have a great time. We left the house at 4:30am thinking that the kids would do better and sleep longer. We were a little wrong. They did sleep, but not as long as we were hoping. We always stop in Richfield, Utah. They have a Wal-Mart there with lots of fun animals and it is the halfway mark of the trip. We got to the hotel about 2:00pm and unloaded all of our stuff and headed to Great Grandma Redd's (to the kids) house. She was happy to see us and very worried that the kids needed some toys to play with. I assured her that they were okay! The boys were wild and I am sure it was from being couped up in the truck for 8 hours. We talked and the kids played. Grandma Redd can't see or hear very well, so you have to talk VERY loud and then sometimes she still doesn't hear you. Devan and Darcy came over and we chatted with them and Josh harrassed them! What a fun cousin he is! They enjoyed stealing his hat from him the entire weekend! We were exhausted on Friday and went back to the hotel. It worked out great because Josh took Ty to go find some deer in the mountains and Taggy got a shower with mom. Then I put him down for bed and finished the rest of my shower. By the time I was done he was fast asleep...thank you! I made sure to call Josh and tell him to be very quiet when they came back because Tag was asleep. Ty was very cute when they came back to the room. He said, "Mom I be quiet Taggy's sleeping!" He did so good at using his quiet voice for the rest of the night! We made Ty a special bed by the door and he was excited to sleep in his special bed! The boys must have been tired because they fell right asleep and didn't fuss about it!

On Saturday we met at Grandma's house and Uncle Reagan and Megan were there. They came all the way from South Dakota and Colorado! We were excited to see them because we haven't seen them for probably at least a couple of years! We use to go to Lake Powell with them every summer, but now Josh uses his vacation time for his hunting! I miss going to Lake Powell and hope to be able to talk him into going this summer! We sat around for awhile and then headed off to the rock! This is where all the family meets for Easter Egg Hunts, food, shooting all sorts of crazy gun, 4-wheeling, repelling, and anything else you can imagine. We were all a little disappointed because it was snowing when we woke up, then it rained, hailed, snowed, and hailed some more. I decided to go repelling and right when I got to the top it started hailing so hard! I decided to climb down and forgo the repelling. It was so cold that I had to sit in the church to get warm. They made a cave in the rock and had a fire, but I still couldn't get warm. We shot clay pigeons for awhile and that was fun. Then Uncle Reagan brought out the big guns and I couldn't pull Josh away from them. He played while I watched the kids...I wasn't too happy about that! We took the boys down to feed a baby calf some milk and they both enjoyed that. He name was "Mini" and she was so cute! Ty liked her, but Tag didn't want to be close to her. He would let mom know when I was getting too close! I have never had a baby calf suck on my fingers, but it was really neat!

After our day at the rock, we went to the hotel and took the boys swimming. We realized that Ty is not afraid of the water, which scares me to death. He would jump in and I would pull him up from the water and he would just laugh and think it was so funny! I guess this summer we will have to work really hard at teaching him to swim. Taggy wasn't so sure about the water at first, but then we couldn't keep him out of it. I was EXHAUSTED by the end of the night and so ready for bed! To get Ty excited about going to bed I told him the Easter Bunny wouldn't come until he was asleep. That did the trick. In the morning he was so excited about his Easter basket and all the chocolat he saw. The boys had a great Easter and loved all the candy they got.

Sunday morning we packed the truck and said our goodbyes and were on our way back home! The ride home was much better because the boys slept for half of it. We had a great Easter, but were glad to be home in the warm weather.

I wish I would have gotten more pictures, but my card filled up, so I only got these few! When will I learn? At least I had our movie camera there too!!

Clark County Fair

This year the county fair was held over Easter weekend. I was a little sad because I love the fair. I love going to the rodeo, watching the boys ride the rides, eating yummy and very unhealthy fair food, and hangin out with the family. Since we were leaving for Monticello, Utah early Friday morning, I decided to take the boys on Thursday. The fair usually isn't that busy on Thursdays, but since it was Spring Break it was a little more crowded this year. The first thing we did when we got there was wait in line to ride the train around the fair. The kids had fun and that made me happy. Then we headed to the pony ride. Most of us have horses that we can ride or know someone that have horses, but we paid the $6 anyways so our kids could ride the ponies at the fair. Ty had the biggest pony there and loved it! I should have put Tag on too, but I didn't think about it in time. Next year little Taggy!!

Our friends own the bungee jump and rock climbing wall, so we were going to let Ty have another try at the bungee jump. He loved it so much when we were in California that I couldn't help but them him go again. I couldn't decide if I wanted him to wait until daddy was there to watch him or to just let him go twice. I decided to wait. We looked at the art exhibits and all the animals and then decided it was time for lunch. Normally I would buy food at the fair, but this year I decided to save some money and bring a lunch. I did miss my normal fair food, but it saved us a lot of money that we really don't need to waste on such yummy food ( can you tell I am a bit sad about missing out on the fair food?) The kids had a blast chasing each other around and pushing each other in the stroller. I went with all of my friends, so we had 10 little kids we were trying to keep our eyes on. It stressed me out a little, but all of them made it home safely, so we must have done an OK job!

After lunch we headed home for naps, so we could come back when Josh got home. Ty and Tag were so tired, but they didn't take very good naps! What is up with that! Ty didn't sleep at all and Tag only slept for an hour! I thought they would be down and out, but I was wrong. Josh got home and showered and we headed back to the fair. The first thing we did was go to the bungee jump and Ty absolutely loved it. I only got a little on my camera I can download to the computer and the other movie camera has the rest of it. He did a flip because he went super high at one point. Don't you just love to see the laughter in their eyes and the huge grinn on your childrens' faces when they are having fun? Nothing could make me happier! We had a great time at the fair and I am happy that we had one day of fun this year.

I feel like time is so precious these days! I take all of these wonderful pictures of the boys, but if I don't download them immediately then I forget about them until my camera is full and I am forced to download them! Wow, that was a long sentence!! The boys are growing up way too fast and it is hard to believe that Tag will be one next month! Where has the year gone? We have had so many fun memories this past year and I really can't imagine my life without these two wonderful and most of the time rambunctious little boys of mine!! I wouldn't trade them for anything. I just finished watching an Opera show (boys are napping and mommy is relaxing) and they were featuring Country Music Stars. As most of you know, I love to sing! I always think it would be so fun to try out for American Idol just to see what the judges would say...not because I think I have a shot at it, but to say that I did it. Do you ever have moments in your life when you just want to do something so you won't wonder for the rest of your life what could have been? I guess it would be called living with no regrets. Sorry, I had a little tangen there, back to the real world. Anyhow, as I was playing with Tag on the floor, I realized that none of these moments would be this great if you were some "super star"! Not to say that they don't have great times together as a family, but we all know that it is different! I love my children and I am so thankful that my life is the way it is. I know that this perspective comes from having the gospel in my life and knowing that there is a plan out there and that this life is not just some fleeting moment that means nothing in the end! I want my children to know that I love them and I am so blessed to have them in my life! I have an amazing husband and they have an amazing dad that works so hard so I can stay home and care for these two wild and crazy little boys! There are days when I think that I am just a "stay at home mom"and all the hard work I put forward to get a college degree has been wasted or I remember the dreams I had before I had children and how they have been put on hold and some have been permanently put on hold. It's days like those, when I want to come back to this post and remember that life is just the way it should be and I really do have the most important job in the world right now...raising these special little angels sent from Father in Heaven!!

2. How long have you been together? Since the end of April 2004

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? 1 day...what can I say we really hit it off!!

4. Who asked whom out? I gave him multiple hints that he never got, but he actually asked me out to the rodeo, but another guy beat him to the punch, so I was there with another guy, but I talked to Josh more than my date...does that make a bad person?

5. How old are you? I am 28 and he is 29 (we are getting old)

6. Whose siblings do you see the most? probably his...they all live here in Nevada and mine are scattered everywhere

7. Do you have any children together? Ty is 2 1/2(josh calls him "the destroyer") and Tag will be 1 next month (josh calls him "lucifer") Just so you know they were given these nicknames after I had been gone for a week and Josh was home playing mommy:)

8. Pets? We are done with pets for now, but we do have chickens

9. Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple? As of late, it would be life insurance. I think it is a must and he is totally against it!

10. Did you go to the same school? No, I went to school in Oklahoma and he was here in Nevada

11. Are you from the same town? No...he's from a tiny town in Nevada and I am from a nice size town in Oklahoma

12. Who is the smartest? We are both smarter in different areas...he is a great "handy man" and I can only dream of being able to do all that he can!

13. Who is the most sensitive? ME

14. Where do you eat out most as a couple? There are 5 places to eat in our town, so we really don't eat out unless we are traveling somewhere. We both love Cracker Barrell

15. Where is the farthest you have traveled as a couple? Missouri

16. Who has the craziest exes? I don't know much about his exes, but I really didn't have any crazy exes

17. Who has the worst temper? We both do at certain times! He gets frustrated when he has to repeat things to me and I get frustrated when I am talking and he doesn't listen. Minor, minor things!

19. Who is more social? Both of us! He thinks he isn't social, but he is always talkin to someone!

20. Who is the neat freak Definitely me...he could live in a pig pen and be completely happy! I think I have a little bit of OCD in me!

22. Who hogs the bed? Can you say tornado...Josh lays sideways, diaganol, and any other crazy position. I use to be nice to him, but now I am just mean!

23. Who wakes up earlier? He gets up at 4:50 right now and I try to roll out of bed and make his lunch unless I do it the night before! I think 7:00 is the perfect time to wake up!

24. Where was your first date? At his dad's farm...he laughed at me as I chased the baby goats! They were so cute.

25. Who has the bigger family? I do by 1...there are 6 kids in my family and 5 in his

26. Do you get flowers often? That would be a negative. I have gotten them before, but I hate how expensive they are.

27. How do you spend the holidays? we usually trade off each year, but we have decided that we will go to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving and stay here for Christmas...it is just too hard to do gifts when you are traveling.

28. Who is more jealous? That would be me. I am not as jealous as I use to be, but Josh has never been jealous. It use to bug me that he didn't get jealous at all, but then I realize that he is secure in our love and he trusts me! I have always been insecure when it came to relationships, but I am so much better!

29. How long did it take to get serious? Not too long and then I almost broke it off, but we had a conversation that totally changed my mind and then it was serious for me from then, but Josh didn't realize his "true" feelings for me until I moved back to Oklahoma to finish school and move on with life! He called and left me the sweetest voicemail about how much he missed me! I still give him grief for that:)

30. Who eats more? He does except for when I am pregnant!

32. Who is better with the computer? I am..it is painful for me to watch Josh on the computer:):)

33. Who drives when you are together? he does because the passenger seat has to be up close because of the car seat and since I am so short it is more comfortable for me to sit there!

My Mission Reunion

I have been home from my mission for almost 5 years now (in December) and have never been able to go to my mission reunion. This year I decided that I was going no matter what. We planned on coming up to Utah and staying with my brother, Mike, and his family. We left on Friday morning and drove all morning and part of the afternoon to get here. We hung out with Mike and his family for a little bit and then headed off for my reunion. I was so excited to be able to see my Mission President and his wife. I didn't know if any of my companions would be there or other missionaries I knew, but I mainly wanted to see President Knudson and his wife. We were there maybe 10 to 15 minutes and had said hello to my Mission President and had just gotten our dinner and sat down to eat. Tag acted like he was going to gag on some food, but instead he throws up all over me. I am not talking about a little bit of throw up, but he threw up 4 times and it was all over me. My thighs were completely soaked in throw up and so were Tags' pants, sweater, and socks. There was a little bit on the floor, but it was mainly all over me. It smelled horrible and I think it was everything he had eaten for the day! Josh just looked at me and said, "What do you want me to do?" At that point I wasn't sure where to start, so I stripped Tag down to his onesie (sp)(thank goodness it was dry). Josh went and got some paper towels and I began to mop up the mess! I had curdled milk all over me and it was a little difficult to clean up, but I did the best I could. I felt bad for everyone there, because it smelled sooooo bad! I hadn't seen Sister Knudson yet, so I quickly said hello and told her I had to leave because I had throw up all over me! I wish we could have stayed longer, but that's life. I am just happy that we were able to at least say hello!

Isn't it ironic that the one time we finally make the 5 hour drive that we only get to stay for 10 minutes! Tag, you have great timing! Poor Josh had to drive about 30 minutes home with the overwhelming smell of throw up in the truck! I had to wash my hands several times to get the smell out of them! Needless to say, Tag was much happier after he threw up and he has been fine the rest of the weekend. I just hope we can make it home without any problems!

We had a great time with Mike, Brita, Ashlynn, and Carson! Ty and Ashlynn have had fun playing together and Josh was able to take the concealed weapons class while he was here! We have had a great time and now we will be able to enjoy the morning session of General Conference!
