Ty and Tag Flag Football

Tag's coach, Coach Sobrio, was not there for the last game,so James Walker stepped in to coach that day

Ty's team with their coach, Coach Smith
Ty and Tag really enjoyed playing flag football this year! It was a little crazy because they were on two different teams and they played at the exact same time for every game! Josh and I would take turns watching each one, but Josh missed quite a few games, so it was a little crazy for me. Tag was such a good little runner, but we had to remind him to not just run down the field, but to catch the guy with the ball! When he got that concept down, he was golden! He scored a touchdown for his team and was so excited! It was really fun to watch him. They were a young team who had never played before, so it was very comical at times!

Ty's team had a hard time this season! They didn't win a single game, but that was not there fault. There coach focused too much on learning a ton of plays and not enough on the game. The kids really gave their all and I was proud of the way they played! Ty was disappointed that he didn't get a touchdown, but he made some great plays and really hustled to pull the flag of the kid running with the ball! He kept asking me when he got to play tackle football, so who knows if he will want to play flag football again! His dad was so happy that he wanted to play tackle football! Flag football is really hard for Josh to watch, but the kids enjoy it and that is the most important thing!

Thanksgiving 2013

We all headed to Alamo for Thanksgiving this year! The kids were so excited to see their cousins and to be able to play with them for a few days! We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and then the boys wanted to head to the park to throw the football around and the little ones wanted to play. Karla wanted family pictures taken, which is always so painful, but we got it done! All the kids had a great time playing and it was good to get some energy out after such a big meal! It started to get chilly so we all headed back to get warmed up! On Friday we took a bunch of us out to hunt for wild cows! It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to be out of the house! Josh, me, ty, jacob, and karen rode in the rhino, the older boys hiked with grandpa. We found the spot where they were hanging out, but they were long gone by the time we got there! It was a great day even though we didn't get any cows! On Saturday it was a very lazy day! We helped grandma with her flower beds and the kids were such good little helpers! That is pretty much all that we did that day! Josh was enjoying all the football games and I was enjoying the Hallmark Christmas movies. I was ready to get back home, so we left that evening. It was a very nice Thanksgiving and it always nice to be with family!

Turkey Bowling and Ty's Thanksgiving Play

Ty taking his turn bowling with a frozen turkey

Tag won 2nd place and was so excited for the chocolate cupcakes he won

 Ty's Thanksgiving Play

His 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Pulsipher

Ty was one of the reporters and did a great job

The boys were excited to enter the turkey bowl at the rec. center. Ty didn't place, but Tag won 2nd place and was happy to share his chocolate cupcakes with his brother and sister. They had to bowl with a frozen turkey! It was fun to watch all the kids try their very best to knock all the pins down!

The day before Thanksgiving, Ty's class had their Thanksgiving Play! It was a really cute play and quite funny! The turkey's were on strike and by the end, so were the cranberries! Ty was one of the reporters and had a lot of lines to memorize! I was so proud of him because he remembered them all and did a fantastic job! It is crazy to me at how fast he is growing up! He is such a good boy with a kind heart and we are just so proud of him!

Happy Halloween

The pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins

Tenley's Pre-School Halloween Party! Waiting to sing for the Judge at the court house!

I wish I could have gotten her facial expressions when she was feeling all the parts of a monster!

Ward Trunk or Treat

Halloween was pretty crazy this year for me! The kids were so excited and I was too, but then I was excited that it was over! We went to the pumpkin patch on Monday and then carved them for our Family Home Evening. On Tuesday I had to run to Wal-Mart to get everything for their class parties and our Ward Trunk-or-Treat! I was still feeling so sick, but it was literally the only day I could go! On Wednesday we did Tenley's Pre-School Party and all the kids were so cute in their costumes! They had a great time and I think all the moms were exhausted by the time it was over! On Thursday (Halloween Day), I made all the food for the class parties that morning and got everything ready for the trunk-or-treat! The craziness started at 1:30 and didn't end until about 9:00pm! I dropped off goodies to Tag's class and their were so many kids and parents in their that I was so glad I was not in charge of that party! I am the room mother for Ty's class this year, so I headed down to his class to get all the food ready! They did the costume parade and then it was time for the party! We played Halloween Bingo and at lots of goodies! The kids seemed to have a great time! I then had to go to work for a couple of hours! I decorated the our trunk during work and then after work it was off to the church for the trunk-or-treat! The kids went around and around to all the trunks until all the candy was gone! They had such a great time seeing all their friends and of course getting all that candy! We had hot chocolate and crispy cream doughnuts and by that time I was sweeted out! We had a great time, but both Josh and I were exhausted and ready for bed! I still was fighting my cold and it had now been a week, so I was really ready for bed! The kids had a great Halloween and that is all that matters to me!
