Tag is 4 months old/ Another Stalker Story

September 15, 2008 Tag is 4 months old!

As for our family, I have taken a few recent pictures of Tag and wanted to post them. He is getting so big and never wants to sit still! He can roll over now and loves to bounce on my lap! He is working on getting his 2 bottom teeth and isn't happy about it! Right now he also has a little cold and that has made him a bit grumpy, but I get grumpy when I am sick, so why wouldn't he! Tag weighed 15 1/2lbs at his 4 month checkup and was 26" long! He is a very tall kid...already wearing 6/9 months pants! CRAZY how fast they grow! He is such a sweetheart and loves to cuddle with mom and dad! I call him our little "cuddlebug" We love you Tag!
Ty's birthday is this next weekend, so he will get his own little post too!

September 28, 2008 - Another Stalker story

I feel like the last 4 months of my life have been so crazy and hectic! I know I haven't been home a lot because I am always packing up a suitcase and the kids for some adventure. Last week I finally felt like life had calmed down and that I would be at home for awhile. How quickly things changed. In my last blog I mentioned a guy who had called me and totally freaked me out. The first night back at my house without Josh here was really hard, but it got better and better. Finally last week I felt like I could go on with life and that it was just a one time thing that was over. Once again, I was dead wrong.
My children are napping last Monday and I am on the computer trying to get bills paid, emails checked, blogs updated, etc. etc., when my cell phone rings. I look on the caller ID and my heart stopped when I read "restricted" I answered the phone and it was him! Why was he doing this to me? What did he want with me? Could I get him to stop calling me? All of these questions ran through my mind. I decided to talk to him because I was told by the police to try and get information from him. This time I was just so mad at him and I think he knew it. We played a little game...I gave him info (of course it was all fake...like I would tell him the truth) and then he gave me info. Who knows if what he gave me was correct, but it was worth a shot. Thank goodness my cell phone was about to die because he started to become very inappropraite and I let him know it. He demanded that I tell him certain inappropriate things about myself and I let him know that I would not do that and it was totally inappropriat to be asking me those types of things! I think he could tell I was getting more angry as the converstation went on and that he wasn't going to hear what he wanted to because he hung up on me. I immediately called my husband and he was not happy!! My heart was pounding so hard that I thought it was going to burst out of my chest, I was shaky, and very scared! I locked all the doors and started packing our things once again! My husband wanted me to leave the house and stay with our friends for the rest of the week! I was more than happy to do so. After I talked to my husband I called a couple in our ward because her husband works for the company that this guy told me he worked for. He did some digging and was able to find some info, but we weren't sure if it was really the guy or not. I called the cell number he gave me and was so disappointed when I hear the voice and realize it was not the same voice of the guy that had been calling me. It is such a crazy and complicated story, so I will try and only give the most important parts. I was also able to get an address from the man in our ward and the cops went to the house and lets just say it is a VERY SCARY looking place. No one was home and when I told him I called the cell # and that it wasn't the same voice, they said they still wanted to check into it further and they also got the Highway Patrol involved in the matter. This all happend on Monday.
I felt better staying at my friends house and am so grateful that they let me and my kids stay in their home for 4 days! Do I have great friends or what!!! The crazy thing about all of this is that he has called me on a Monday both times! I think that is a little weird! So on Tuesday I am running some errands and I get a call from a "restricted #" , but no one is there. Then I get a call from a guy that tells me my # is programmed into his phone 3 times with no name beside it, but he doesn't know how it got there! I pretty much told him straight up what was going on and that he better find out if someone has been using his phone because if he didn't it would all come back on him. I have never called his cell phone # , so I don't know how he would have gotten my number. He really freaked me out when he asked if I lived in the town I live in. For safety reasons I will not mention where I live. How would he know all of this info? Well, I gave the cell phone # to the police and they can get the cell records and see if that phone called me on the two different dates that I have been called on. Everytime I feel like we are getting somewhere it seems that we hit a dead end. I just hope that this time we can find something that will put an end to all of these calls!
I am tired of not feeling safe in my own home! I am tired of having to pack my children up and be a burden on others! I just want my normal life back! Once again I apologize because I have been so behind on blogs because I haven't been home! Tonight is my first night back in my house by myself and I have been so jumpy! I keep saying little prayers that Heavenly Father will give me peace and help me to feel safe! I am so grateful for the power of prayer because he truly has answered mine and help me feel peace in my heart. I must tell an experience with prayer this past week when all of this was happening. I didn't know if I was just being a baby by not wanting to stay in my home or if I was just being smart, so I decided to kneel down and ask my Heavenly Father. Immediately after I ask if it was safe for me and children to stay in our home, my heart started pounding, I got all shaky, and I felt great uneasiness in my heart (exactly what I feel when this guy calls me). I was so thankful that I was given such a powerful answere! I knew without a doubt that we needed to leave and stay with my friend until Josh returned home. My testimony of the power of prayer was strenghtened so much and I feel that I pray all time now for guidance on what to do with this situation.
To all my friends, thank you for your thoughts and concern! I really apprecaite it! We will see what happens tomorrow, but I hope it will be a normal day and that I can just go on with my life again!

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's House

This was Ty after being out with Grandpa...all dirty! He was crying because I wanted to take his picture and wouldn't let him touch me with those dirty hands!
Such a big helper for Grandma

My dirty boy...he was having so much fun! I was happy because that shirt looked brand new when I was done with it:)

Grandpa and Tag...best buddies!

Ty came upstairs wearing his cousins' football pads! He looked like one tough dude!

He had a hard time with that helmet on his head...it was just to heavy for his head to carry! One day he'll be able to handle it!

On our way home from Bear Lake, we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house to stay the night. The kids were so tired of being in the car and I was exhausted. Plus, Grandma and Grandpa love to see the boys and they love to see them. We were only going to stay the night and leave the next day. Well, the one night turned into 4 more nights and 5 days.
I am getting things together on Monday morning so we can leave for home that day when my cell phone rings. It is a restricted number, but I answer it thinking it might be my sister from France calling me. I was so wrong and wish I had never answered the phone. A man is on the other line and says, "good morning beautiful" I asked, "who is this?" and he said, "oh you know who this is" I proceeded to say, "I know you are not my husband!" He proceeded to go on and tell me that I knew him through my husband, but wouldn't tell me what my husbands name was. I told him I didn't know him and to please stop calling. Obviously he couldn't take the HUGE HINT I gave him because he called me right back. This is where it gets really freaky and down right scary. I answered the phone and he said, "Wendy, I am sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" My heart sank and I got the creepiest feeling inside. I asked him how he knew my name and he let me know that he was not willing to give me any information. I told him I didn't want to talk to him and to stop calling. Apparently he didn't care what I wanted because he kept calling, but I just stopped answering my phone. Why are there so many FREAKS in this world. I mean...how on earth do they get their jollies off of scaring women? I called my husband in tears panicing because this creep knew my name and cell phone number. I just don't give anyone my cell # unless they are my friends. Of course, Josh was so mad and wanted to kill the guy and promised he would take care of it. To make a very long story a little shorter...he called our friend who is a police officer and gave him the guys name(he gave me a name, but I doubted it to be his real name...who would be so stupid?) and our friend said he would see what he could find. Well, the guy happens to live in the same town as me, but has no criminal record. Our friend paid him a visit when he got on duty, but he denied any of it. To this day I don't really know if it was him or not and that is what really scares me. Then my brother-in-law answered the phone when he called again and all the coward did was hang up. He hasn't called me back since that day and I am hoping that our friend and brother-in-law scared the guy away. Talk about really taking your feeling of safety and security away. Now I feel like I am being watched and I get really anxious in the evenings. All I have to say is that he better not come to my house because I own a nice shotgun and I know how to use it.!!!
Anyhow, so that is why I stayed with my in-laws for so long. The boys had a great time and so did I. Now I am back at home and each day it gets a little easier to be here. Thank goodness for security systems and guns....they have both made me feel so much safer. Now I really want to enroll in a self defense course. I want to really learn how to protect myself and not fall victim to all the freaks out there! Man it felt good to write it all down!
Hope you enjoy all the photos! Ty was so funny because he went straight to Grandpa's dirt bike and got on it all by himself. I told him he had to wait until Grandpa got home because mommy doesn't know how to drive a dirt bike. He also helped Grandpa disc the field with the tractor, plant the pasture on the 4wheeler, and plant trees with Grandma. Can you say "HEAVEN" for a little boy! Tag loved being with Grandma and Grandpa...they have a special bond that you could see instantly when they would hold him. It was the sweetest thing.
I also added some pictures of the boys and Josh. Ty loves to hold Tag now and I just think it is so special to see him love on his brother. The video I had to put it because he was being so cute and dancing to his cartoon, Hip Hop Harry! He got a little shy once the camera came out, but I was able to get a little bit of him dancing. I just love my boys and all the cute and funny things they do! Motherhood is the best and I have to remind myself of that on the tougher days:)

Bear Lake Cabin

Tag was sleeping during this picture, so we shot this picture of him so he would feel included. This is the bear I found for my dad!

This was the little Snoopy Truck that Ty loved driving. I couldn't get him off the thing!

In Nevada you don't have to wear helmets, but in Utah you do! Ty was not liking this helmet and neither was his dad!

Poppy and Tag having some one on one time! I think Poppy loves his little grandson!

Josh is working in Ely right now, so Ty was able to drive the blade with him when we got there. He absolutely loved it!

What is this thing?

My brother, Drue, drew a bull elk tag this year in Utah. This is like a once in a lifetime type of tag, so all my brothers, dad, and husband have been planning this elk hunt for a very long time. Originally I was not going to go because what was I going to do with two little kids while they went hunting all day...it is cold up in those mountains at morning and night. A couple days before Josh was leaving, my brother Drue called and invited me to come and stay at his house with his wife and little boy. He also mentioned that his wife might go up to the cabin in Bear Lake for a few days and that really peaked my interest. I talked to Josh to make sure it was okay with him and we headed out to meet him in Ely a few days later. We stayed the night in Ely to give the boys a break from the car and then headed out to Utah the next day. The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and the boys did very well. We got to my brothers house and my dad was already there. Ty and his cousin Brent had a ball playing together and it was great to see my brother and his family again. We all went out to eat that night and then the guys headed out to the mountain the following day. Kristen and I went up on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to see the guys. We rode the Rhino and 4wheelers. It was a lot of fun and I know the boys loved seeing their dads. I was so happy to be able to see my dad and brother...I just love my family!
Sunday it got really cold and a storm blew in. It rained that evening and I guess the guys got snowed on and were really cold. On Monday we decided to stay in Logan because it was too cold and rainy. We ran a few errands and then took the boys to the Fun Park. I thought Ty would love climbing in the padded play area, but there was a truck there and all he wanted to do was drive. I was glad he had a great time. He tried to play the basket fever game with Brent, but he just wanted to throw the balls at people or walls. We decided it was best if he just watched. Poor Aunt Kristen was in the line of fire.
On Tuesday we decided to head up to the family cabin in Bear Lake and spend some time with Josh. He shot his elk the second day, so he was basically just scouting for my brothers and dad. He came up to the cabin and we just hung out and played with the boys. Ty and Tag were happy to see their daddy. We live so far away from the cabin that I really wanted to take advantage of it while we were so close. We ended up staying at the cabin until Sunday. It was a ton of fun and so beautiful and peaceful.
Ty loved to go outside and throw rocks or drive the Rhino. It was a little harder when Josh wasn't there because I couldn't just leave with Ty because I still had to watch Tag. We still had tons of fun. On Friday, Josh came up and stayed at the cabin the rest of the time and that was great. We went on a really fun Rhino ride and the boys loved it. Ty got to help drive and Tag was looking around wondering what was going on. I also was sent on a mission for my dad. He wanted me to find a bear for the cabin. I was happy to finally find the bear you see in one of the pictures. My sister-in-law, Brita and her daughter Ashlynn came on Friday to stay at the cabin too. Ty and Ashlynn had such a good time playing together and little Ashlynn just loved Tag to pieces. She wanted to hold him, feed him, and just love on him. She is going to have a little brother pretty soon and I think she will be a great help to her mom. I love the picture of her and Tag...how precious!
Thanks to Kristen and Drue for letting us stay at their house! We had such a wonderful time and I was happy that Ty was able to get to know his cousin, Brent, a little better! I just wish that we all lived closer so that our kids could play together more often! I also have to tell my husband "thanks" for letting us come on "his" hunting trip! I kept asking him if we were spoiling his fun, but he said no and I really think he enjoyed seeing his boys. If we hadn't decided to come, we would not have seen Josh for 3 whole weeks! That is just too long to go without daddy! I am just so grateful we went and were able to create these fun and wonderful memories as a family!
