Every summer, I have gone to visit my parents out in Oklahoma. I was really hoping to go this summer, but since I had Tenley in July, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. Last summer I drove out with the boys by myself, but I knew there was no way I would be driving by myself with 3 kids. It worked out great because Carrie and Brian moved to Oklahoma in July and had a family reunion in Idaho at the end of July. We ended up meeting them in Ogden, Utah and driving back with them to Oklahoma. I brought my breast pump so I would pump while Carrie drove and then I could drive and Carrie could rest or feed Tenley. It worked out great and the kids really did a good job, but about the last hour they had, had enough and ready to be at grammy and poppy's house.

I had to work my stay out with Josh's schedule, so I ended up staying 4 weeks, instead of 2! The kids had a great time playing with each other every day, all day long. They would wake up and play from then until bedtime. It was nice to spend time with my sister, Carrie, and then Lauri and her girls came for a week too! There were 9 kids running around the house and it was crazy and loud, but the kids had a ball! I think or I should say know, that my parents were ready to have their house back by the time we left. Our main activity while we were there was going swimming. Other than that, we stayed around the house for the most part. It is just too crazy to take that many kids to different places around town. We did take them to the little water park in town and with all of us adults there, it worked out really great and the kids loved going down the fun slides.

Ty and Tag both jumped off the low and high dive at the pool and that was so fun to watch. It also made me realize just how big my boys are getting and how fast they are growing up! It is a little scary to think about how fast time goes by. Ty also learned how to ride a bike all by himself...thanks to Aunt Carrie. She came in and told me that she talked him into trying to learn how to do it, but that he already knew how. He did really good and I was so proud of him. He even is turning corners really good, but now that we are home, we don't have a great place to ride bikes like we did at my parents house, so it makes it a little harder for him to practice. It will be nice once the weather cools off and then we can all go outside and practice. We bought Tag a new bike and so now Ty wants to ride with training wheel again. I was afraid that was going to happen, but I just try and tell him that he is a big boy now and Tag wishes he could ride a bike without training wheels. It has worked out pretty good!

Aunt Carrie also realized that Ty could swim by himself. He still needs to get stronger at it, but he can swim. I was in the baby pool with the little ones and she was working with Ty and Bree at swimming. He does really good, but he gets lazy and won't kick his legs, so he will just float around in the water! I was so happy that he was swimming good for her. Before I had the baby we would go swimming at Josh's bosses house and I would work with him and he was doing pretty good, but he definitely got a lot better in Oklahoma.

Uncle Brian has a go-cart and everyday, first thing in the morning, Tag would say, "Can I ride the go-cart?" This would continue the whole day until Brian got home from work and could take him for a ride. It was really cute, but then it just got really, really old! I did take the kids out on the 4 wheeler and they loved that! So between riding bikes, 4 wheelers, go-carts, swimming, dress up, DS, and the Wii, my kids had a great time in Oklahoma with their cousins!!!

We celebrated Beau and Bree's birthdays while we were there and that was fun for everyone. I got Bree some fun princess shoes and Ty thought they were great too. Beau got a fun game called, "I Spy" and we had fun playing that together! It was hard to say goodbye, but I am just so thankful that we will see them again in November! Oklahoma is HOME to me and it may not be for everyone, but I love it there and I miss it!! Josh flew in on August 20th and stayed the night and then we headed out the next day. We all missed him so much, so it was so good to see him. He hadn't seen Tenley for 4 weeks, so she was a lot bigger and all he wanted to do was love on her and the boys. The drive home wasn't too bad, except for that last 20 minutes! We were so glad to be home again and Ty and Tag were so happy to see their toys again! Ty kept asking me if we could go home. I would ask him why he wanted to go home and he would say, " My toys miss me!" So very cute! We had a wonderful time and I am so happy that my kids were able to spend time with their cousins, aunt and uncle, and grammy and poppy!

Summer Fun

Josh and I had just gotten done with yard work, I went inside to check on Tenley and when I came outside, I found Josh and the boys in the little pool cooling off. We turned on the sprinklers and they loved running through them. It was a really hot day and I also ran through the sprinklers and it did feel great! Josh let me in on the secret that I needed to follow the sprinklers around to really get the full affect. He was right. I think we all had a really fun time together and it was great to play with the boys! They haven't gotten as much attention since Tenley was born and I have felt really bad about that.
Our neighbors irrigate once a week and the boys and their dad got home from camping and were dirty and hot, so we decided to let them run around and play in all the water. I was shocked that Sugar got in the water with them because she never gets in the water. All 3 had a great time playing and Josh and I enjoyed watching our boys have so much fun.

I Am a Month Old

I was trying to get some pictures of her awake, but she just couldn't keep her eyes open.

I cannot believe that our little girl is already a month old! How fast time has gone by! Tenley has been such a good baby and such a joy to have in our family! She is doing so good and weighs 8lbs. now! She eats really good and about every 3 hours. For the first two weeks, she slept really good through the night...anywhere from 5 to 9 hour stretches! it was so wonderful, but now she has been getting up to eat about every 3 to 5 hours! I nurse her in bed, so I really don't loose too much sleep, but I still am tired in the mornings! Tenley also has been more alert and a wake throughout the day and especially in the evenings. It has been so much fun to see her grow and change!
