The transformation!!

During my second trimester, I had so much energy and this crazy urge to organize everything and re-decorate the baby's room. Since I have had 2 boys, I have just kept it the same, but I was so ready for a BIG change this time around! I found this brochure of this room and instantly fell in love with the colors! I decided that I would use these colors for the baby's room and just hoped that it looked like what I envisioned it looking like! I was more than pleased and by the time I was done, I was so ready to be done! Let me just say that not much else was accomplished during this time and I am sure the kids watched way too much TV! My sister put chair rail up in her little girl's room and I loved the way it looked, so I decided to do the same. We also added base boards because there are no baseboards in our entire house, so I thought maybe we could start one room at a time! My WONDERFUL husband put up the chair rail and baseboards...he wasn't too thrilled about it, but he did it anyway! He did a great job and I had the fun of caulking, painting, sanding and filling in the nail holes. This was way more time consuming than I thought it would be, but I love the way it looks, so I guess it was worth it!

My sister, Carrie, sent me this cute crib set and the colors matched perfectly and then I found this bed set at TJ Max and it was so similar that I couldn't pass it up! Josh actually LOVES this bed set and if you know my husband, he doesn't like too many things that I pick out! I re-painted the dresser and put new drawer handles on it. I have to tell you that we found this dresser before we had Ty for $20. I re-painted it for his room and now re-painted it again, but it is seriously the best dresser we own! I wish we could find another great deal like that! The room is almost done, but I still have to hang things back on the wall and I plan on getting her name in wooden letters! I enjoyed transforming the room, but when I finally finished I needed a little break and therefore still haven't put things back on the wall! For now you get the idea! For those of you who have been waiting for these pictures, sorry for the wait!

Josh and my dad planted the garden while I was on my girls trip and we are so excited that things are growing! We had to re-plant our green beans, but other than that everything has done great!

Tag's 2nd birthday is next month and I wanted to have Josh build him a sandbox! I just thought it would be made out of rail road ties like the garden, but one of his jobs was going to get rid of these nice blocks, so he brought them home and made the sandbox out of them! I love the way it looks and I think it looks much better than the rail road ties would have looked and they were FREE!! The sand cost us $75, but the boys have been loving their new sandbox! I love it that they want to play outside even more than before. However, I need to find a good way to keep the sand outside and not all over my kitchen floor! Between the sandbox and tomato buckets, we are going to put in another garden plot for growing melons and strawberries! Josh and I both feel strongly that we will have live off our gardens one day, so we figured we better learn how to grow one. It has been a lot of fun and I just can't wait to eat all that fresh garden food! Along the back of our yard we also planted 8 cottonwood trees! We got starters from Josh's parents and they are already blooming! We decided on these trees because they are fast growing! I just hope they continue to do well!

Anyhow, these projects have kept us really busy these past few months and were some of the reasons I got so behind on my blogging! ! Next on the list is doing a post on the County Fair, but for now I will leave you with this post!

Happy Easter

This year for Easter, we headed up to Grandpa and Grandma Jensen's house. We have been getting together as a family to make a family plan and get prepared. This time we canned meat, talked about food storage, and 72 hour kits. I think we all have had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed our time together! We cut a lot of beef and canned a lot of meat. Then the kids played and played and played! They love getting on grandpa's tractor, motorcycle, and any other machine they can find. We did a Easter Egg Hunt, played cards, and ate way too much. It is always so nice to come and visit grandpa and grandma! However, I really wish the weather would have been better...too cold for me, but then again I am a big whimp! While we were here, Josh had a little surgery done on his neck. He has had this thing growing on his neck and wanted it taken care of this weekend! His mom gave him the shot and his sister, Ticia, did the surgery. We got some puss out, but there is still a big hard bump there, so we will be calling our doctor and making an appointment. My dad thinks it is a cyst, so I guess we shall soon find out. I was having a hard time watching the surgery, but Josh did great! We will let ya know what the doctor finds when we go see him.

This Easter weekend was also General Conference Weekend! It has been wonderful to hear our Prophet and Apostles speak to us and to reflect upon the great love that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has for us! I am continually grateful for his atonement and his resurrection. What a wonderful gift we have all been given and I just hope that we all will do our part so that we can return to live with him again someday! Now that I am a parent, I cannot imagine eternity without my wonderful children and husband! Josh and I watched the "Last Song" on Thursday night and this movie really tugged at my heart strings. It made me think of all of those who I love and care about and how I never want to be without them. This made me think about the plan of salvation and even though we will be separated for a time, we can be together for eternity because of the love and sacrifice of our Savior. I hope each of you had a wonderful Easter and remember the real reason we celebrate this holiday.

A Little Update on Life

As usual, I am behind on my posts! I don't know where the time goes, but it sure is flying by fast! Last year we started our annual girls trip. Well, this year we decided to go to Tucson Arizona! We thought the weather would be perfect, but boy were we wrong! It was cold and rainy for most of our week there! Needless to say, we did a lot of shopping! However, we did get one day in at the pool (the day before we left)! We played a little tennis, went on a hike, had a fire almost every night, and ate lots of fruits and veggies! We ate out for dinner a few times! Being that I am pregnant, I didn't really have much to shop for (at least for myself), so I was the fashion consultant and ran back and forth to get the right sizes! I had a good time and I was able to get the things on my list for my boys and husband! The only thing I bought for me was some earrings, a little jewelry hanger, and the cutest GIRL diaper bag ever! I was very happy with my purchases! I had a wonderful time and it was great to relax and have some bonding time with my sisters, sister-in-laws, and mom! I am already looking forward to our next girls trip.

While I was away, Josh and my dad stayed home and watched the boys! I think they had a really good time, but were ready for mom to come home and man the house again! I was so happy that my dad came to stay with Josh and the boys! He helped Josh plant our garden and we were both so thankful for that! They also installed a new water heater and that was a big chore, but we love having lots and lots of hot water!! They also headed up to see Grandpa Jensen and helped him with pushing cows, castrating goats, check water and poppy got to shoot the big 416. They had a great time and the boys loved being with their grandpa and poppy! My parents brought their little dog, William, and I heard that he loved getting dirty and chasing the cows! When mom is around he isn't allowed to get dirty and stinky! I am really glad that they had such a good time. Josh took Poppy to our little fishing hole, but I don't think he was very impressed because they didn't catch anything. The boys had fun throwing rocks in the water and got a little too close and ended up falling in the water! Luckily the water wasn't too deep and all was okay!

I feel so blessed to have a great husband who looks forward to spending time with his boys while I am away on my girls trip! I think it is a nice break for the both of us!

It's A Baby Girl

We found out tonight that we are having a little baby GIRL!!! I am so excited and can't wait to start decorating the room for a little girl!! Josh thinks that we need to keep the room in camo, but I shot that idea down pretty fast! The boys are really excited to have a little sister and I know that they will be my big helpers and give her lots and lots of loves!

Our New Dog and Trip to California

I have offically become the worlds worst blogger! I use to be so good at updating our blog, but lately I feel as though I just don't have the time or the kids won't stop touching all the buttons, so I just give up! I just downloaded pictures from my camera and decided I had better update our blog right now or it will be another month!

This is our new dog Sugar! She is such a great dog and the boys just love her to bits! I have to tell you that we have not had the best of luck in the dog department, but this time it is working out perfectly! Sugar was given to us by Josh's boss and she is about 4 years old. She has had several litters of pups and is a very mellow dog....which I LOVE!! The kids pull on her tail, take her food away, ram trucks into her, and any other obnoxious thing a little boy could do to a dog! She has never bit them, but just gives them a look of "whatever!" We love her and I am so glad that the boys love her too! I do have to tell you that she was an "inside" dog for awhile and that was not working for me. She sheds so bad and I just couldn't take all the hair and the dog smell! I am much happier now that she is outside!

Last week I went to visit my sister, Carrie, in California! I am so glad that we decided to go because the boys had a great time playing with there cousins! Carrie and I have been without husbands for awhile, but mine finally came home and hers is still gone! I felt so bad because she was without a hubby for Valentine's Day and her birthday, so I decided I would go and visit! We had a great time together and it was great to celebrate her birthday with her! We ended up getting to go to dinner because her neighbor volunteered to watch the kids! We also got a babysitter and went shopping and out to lunch on Saturday! We had a great time together and it was nice to get away! The kids had a great time riding bikes, playing the Wii, playing with all their cousins toys, and going to this really fun play center! They loved sliding down the slide, playing in the balls, finding their way through the maze, and I think just being crazy and silly kids! My sister has some great parks by her house and we took the kids to a couple of them and they loved it! I will say one nice things about California...they really do have great parks! Now, about the pictures of my oldest in a pink tutu and pushing a stroller, his dad about died! I had to take a picture for my son's future dates. He loved playing dress up with Bree and was so good to take good care of all of her babies! I will leave it at that! For Carrie's birthday I took Bruce to Target after school and let him pick out a present and decorations. We had the house all decorated before Carrie got home from picking up Beau from school! I know the kids were excited to do something for their mom and I wanted her to feel special on her birthday! Her husband sent a really yummy cake and I know I enjoyed it a little too much! I am just so happy that I live close enough to visit her every once in awhile! It takes about 51/2 hours without traffic...not too bad!

We had a great time and now we are back home and the boys were really excited to see their daddy...I was too!! For those who are wondering about the pregnancy...we find out tomorrow what we are having! I will be sure and let you all know! I am so excited to find and feel like it has taken forever! Other than getting bigger, not much has changed with the pregnancy! Keep ya posted!

Bree fell asleep and look so cute!

Bree and Tag at Playwrex

Beau and Ty having fun in the balls!
This is where my kitchen chairs stay unless we are eating! The kids wanted to make a fort under the table! Tag climbs on anything and everything, so the chairs are no longer available for him to use!!
Ty and a friend over to play...they were building forts everywhere!

My cute boys before church! I am not a biased mom or anything!

We are Pregnant!

I know many of you already know, but for those of you who don't, we are expecting baby #3! I am due on July 12th and we are excited for the new addition! I am glad to be in the 2nd trimester because I didn't feel good during the 1st one. I had to eat about every hour so I wouldn't get sick and was so very tired! I don't enjoy not feeling like myself, but I am doing much better! To make matters worse, my husband had to leave again for work! I will say I was lucky that they needed him to come back because we got to spend 2 weeks with him that we were not expecting. In fact, he surprised me and it was the best surprise and a great way to end a very long day! So far everything is looking good and we will find out the sex at the end of next month! I would be happy to have another boy, but I wouldn't mind having a girl this time around! Things have been very different this pregnancy, so I am feeling like it might just be a little girl! We will definitely keep ya posted!
