We LOVE Montana Part 1

Heading to Bozeman to see the Museum of the Rockies and go to Wal-Mart for groceries! The kids really loved this museum! It had lots of big dinosaurs, a Native American museum, and then an upstairs just for kids! They loved dressing up in the different uniforms, playing with the wood burning stove, and fishing! They were not happy when it was time to leave!

This is where we stayed...The Lake Condominums. We decided if we were rich, we would live here in the summers! This dock was right outside our back door, which was perfect for all the fishing we wanted to do! It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was AWESOME! We were hoping to see some wildlife, but all we saw was a black bear on the other side, and Karla and I missed it because we were river rafting when they saw it! Darn the luck! We all loved sitting outside and relaxing, while the kids played in the sand or fed the ducks! I thought my father-in-law, Kelly, was going to sleep out there! Anytime the ducks would come, Tenley went crazy and wanted to feed them...it was pretty darn cute! She LOVED having Papa and Grandma Jensen with us...they were her pals all week long and they spoiled her rotten!

Fly fishing on the Galitin River! We never caught anything, but boy was it so beautiful and relaxing! I think we all had a great time on these days! The kids loved running and playing and fishing until they got bored! Too bad the fish weren't biting or didn't like what we were using! That is probably more like it! Kelly tried to fly fish, but he gave up and used a rod and reel!

Right outside our back door we could rent canoes, paddle boats, paddle boards, and kayaks! We paid $56 for the entire week for all of us to use them as much as we wanted. We would go out every evening and go out on the lake! We convinced Kelly to try the paddle board and it took a lot of convincing! He had to remove his boots, cowboy hat and belt, gun and that is not an easy thing to get him to do! He was doing so good and right after I snapped this picture he leaned back too much and the board came right out from him! It was so funny and everyone on the shore clapped and laughed at the cowboy! The water was freezing cold, but he said he got numb pretty fast! Thanks Kelly for a good laugh! What a good sport he was!

I love these pictures of the kids with Grandma and Grandpa! It was so special to have them there with us! I know the kids will always remember this trip with them!

Trying our luck at fishing again! We didn't have anymore luck at this spot and the flies were the only thing biting and it was our legs and arms that were suffering! We didn't stay too long because the flies were so miserable!

Part of our pass including this rock climbing wall, so on our way home from fishing, we stopped because the kids were dying to try it! Ty didn't get to high the first try, but then he saw a little girl go a lot higher, so he decided to try it again and went super high! He was so proud of himself...it was pretty cute to watch!! Tag decided he didn't really want to go very high and we tried to convince him to try again, but it was a no go! Josh and I gave it a try and man I felt some muscle I haven't used in awhile! It was fun, but once was good enough for me and my arms and legs! I am just glad we were able to make it to the top!

On Thursday we headed to Yellowstone! We stopped at this Grizzly and Wolf enclosure! It was pretty cool and the kids were so excited to see real bears and wolves! Unfortunately the wolves were lazy and sleeping, so we couldn't see them too good, but one did get up and walk to another spot to lay down and that made the kids so happy! I am so glad we went because we really didn't see much wildlife!

We couldn't believe the size of this trap...it would be really heavy to carry!

The kids loved this play area and were mad when we had to leave! It was a lot of fun, but Josh and I decided the slide was not made for adults! It got really narrow at the bottom and felt like you were being squeezed to death!

The drive to Montana 2012

Bull Elk
I love it!

This was a memorial of all those killed in wars that were from Idaho. It was pretty neat!
Ty lost his first tooth on August 5, 2012

On August 4th, we loaded up the car, picked up Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and headed to Big Sky Montana. Since we have so many pictures, I decided to break this post up into parts! Here are the pictures of the journey there! We stopped at Cabelas because who's husbands pass by without stopping! The kids had a great time seeing all the animals and of course begged us to buy everything they set there little eyes on! Oh the joys of stores and little kids! We stayed at my sister, Lauri's, house in Stansbury Park, Utah on Saturday night. We got ice cream and then went to this fun little lake right by her house! The kids loved feeding the ducks and running around playing with each other! The boys are always so excited to see their cousins! I was sure someone was going to land in the lake, but surprisingly no one fell in! We were all tired from the drive there, so it was good to get the kids' energy out, so we could all go to bed! Unfortunately, everyone fell asleep, but the kids were still up being crazy! On Sunday morning we got up and were in the car by 8:00am and Josh was very impressed with me for having everyone out to the car on time! I always let him know that I can do it if I have to:)  Josh and his parents had never been to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, so we decided to go that route. It is a fun little tourist town and they wanted to see the antler arches! We decided to eat while we were there, but no one was impressed with the pizza we ordered! We decided we should have just gotten plain cheese like the kids! We explored a few things in the town square and then loaded up and were off again! On this route to Big Sky, we had to go through both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone! It was a beautiful drive, but there were so many trees that you couldn't really see anything beyond them and we started to feel a little claustrophobic!  We stopped at the Tumb Pots in Yellowstone because we needed a potty break and the kids were so excited to see all the Geysers! They were pretty awesome and we even saw to Cow Elk drinking and then a little Bull Elk came racing in and bedded down in the grass! Tenley was not too impressed, but everyone else was really excited about it! We were really close to the elk and I just hoped they didn't decided to come racing our way!  Even though we were having fun, it was time to get back in the car and get to our condo! Well, we pulled into the condo at about 7:30 or  8:00pm. It was so nice to get there, but we really did have a beautiful drive getting there! The condo was really nice and cozy and right out our back door was Lake Levinsky! We were really excited about that!  We needed food for breakfast in the morning, so we found the little grocery store and were in shock at the prices and selection! We got the bare essentials and decided we would go into Bozeman the next day and find a Wal-Mart!  If you want to hear about the rest of our trip, stay tuned.....

Tag couldn't wait for the races...he looked so happy the entire time!

Every summer our family heads to the Arizona Strip for the Bundy Reunion! This was in the marriage agreement before Josh and I got married and I really am thankful it was! I always have so much fun when we go! However, I haven't  been in  4 years due to pregnancy, birth, and then Josh working up north! I feel bad because the kids have really missed out, but they are old enough now to really be able to have a lot of fun and participate in all the activities! This would include: the leg races, horseshoes, roping, talent show, and nightly dances! Not only do they get to play with a ton of kids, they get to ride 4-wheelers, rhinos, play in dirt, and go until they crash and burn at the end of the night! This year the weather was AWESOME and we even got a little bit of rain to cool it down and wet all the dust down! We got there on Thursday July 5th and stayed until Sunday the 8th! The first day we got everything unloaded and set up and then headed out on a nice rhino ride looking for some bucks! We saw lots of does and then as we were almost back to camp, we came upon these nice bucks in the road! The boys loved it and Tenley even got into it! It is very beautiful up on Mt. Trumbull and it is a very special place to the Bundy Family!  It was so nice to see family that we only get to see once  a year and catch with my own extended family that we just don't see very often! The kids got to meet some of their cousins and had so fun!  On Friday they had opening ceremonies and then it was off to visit all our family that we haven't seen in years! The shot gun shoot was later that afternoon! Josh won in the men's group! Yes I have to brag about my awesome husband! I did pretty good, but didn't place...if only I would just chill out and not pull the trigger so fast! Friday evening we had the talent show and that is always fun! While were watching the talent show, Tag tells me he wants to go up there and sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"! This year it was a little different because you had to sign up before the show, so I told him I would ask them, but they may say no! Well were lucky and he got to sing! I went up there with him, but he was so brave and so dang cute! I was so sad that we didn't have a camera, but then again we weren't planning on doing anything in it! Ty was pretty sad that he didn't get to go up there, but he had a bloody nose at the time! I told them next year we need to plan something to do and then we won't have so many tears! I was a proud momma that night! The kids really wanted to stay up for the Friday night dance, but by the time it started, Tag was too tired to care! Ty was a little bummed, so I told him we would stay for 5 songs and he was really good to leave after our 5 songs were up! We did the "Cotton Eyed Joe" and he really loved that! Needless to say, we were exhausted that night! Saturday is a jam packed day! We had the leg races that morning and the kids were so excited to race! They each ran in there own age group and were too dang cute and so happy! None of them placed, but they didn't care! Tayna and Josi ran in there race and it was too funny! I think we all laughed our heads off because Tayna was laughing her head off! She wasn't dead last, but pretty close! I think she was mad a Josi for making her run!  We all had a good laugh...thanks Tanya for being such a good sport! Jacob raced, but Josh doesn't run! I even ran in my age group and Josh was impressed! I was really sore the next day! Later on that day they had the horse shoe competition, which is always so much fun! I won about half and half of my matches, but my thumb was killing me. We threw a total of 180 shoes...we decided next year that they need to only have us throw 10 shoes instead of 20! I had to forfeit my last match because Tenley had woken up from her nap and had a really high fever and wasn't doing so well! I felt so bad for her, she was so hot and just limp! Her temperature was about 102 and I wasn't sure if it was a bug or if she just got overheated in the tent! She perked up after we gave her some medicine and we enjoyed the rest of the day. This year we even went to the Auction and won a bid for this really cool pencil sketch! Josh asked me if he could bid on it and I thought it was about time we helped out in the auction! That night was the dance where the Bundy Family Band plays! The kids were so excited to go, but Tenley didn't quite make it! She was just too tired and wanted to go to bed! Josh and I had fun watching the boys dance with their cousins and with us! Ty and Bekah were really getting the hang of swing dancin! Tag and Katie May sure were cute as they danced together! That little Katie May had all the boys wanting a dance...it was too cute! I even got to dance with my honey! He is such a good dancer and I always want to go dancin with him! Tag didn't make it too long at the dance and wanted to head back to bed, so I went back and Josh stayed for the awards ceremony! He received an "awesome" trophy and the boys were so excited for their daddy! When I got back to the tent, Tenley was waking up and her fever returned! She was awake for a very long time! The band ended at 11pm and she was still up at that point! She was miserable and sooo hot! Josh and I were worried, but we felt like she would be okay! We stayed up with her until she FINALLY fell asleep! She was sad one minute, cracking us up the next minute, screaming that bees were in the tent at another minute, and then did it all over again! Josh and I were so exhausted and happy when she finally fell asleep! She slept the remainder of the night and even slept in! Sunday we woke up and got ready to leave. Usually we stay for church on the mountain...testimony meeting, but Tenley still had her fever and was so unhappy.  Tag also seemed really tired and unhappy! It takes forever to pack up, but we finally got it done and said goodbye until next year! Tag slept most of the way home and so did Tenley! Tag was so whinny and when we got home we took his temperature and sure enough he had a high fever! Darn fevers...we just barely had them! Sunday was very low key as we were all so tired and then Tag and Tenley being sick! We had a great time at the Bundy Reunion are already excited for it again next year! One of the best things this year was having a hot shower every night! In years past we usually rig up a freezing cold shower on Saturday night before the big dance! This year I broke down and spent $100 on a portable water heater and show and it was the best $100 I have spent in a long time! Yay for camping trips for now on...nothing better than camping and getting a nice warm shower!
