Christmas Eve

The kids were so excited for Christmas Eve this year. We went over to Karen and Jacob's house to have the kids act out the Nativity. The kids were super cute and did a great job! We sang Christmas songs and really got the Christmas spirit going! Grandma read a Christmas story and it was fun to watch all the kids get really close to see all the pictures. Then the kids got to rough house with their Uncle Josh. Some how when Josh is around, wrestling matches always begin! Another exciting thing happened, Tucker stood all by himself. He is getting so big! Bekah and Ty played some Christmas songs on the piano for us; they are very talented kids.
The kids are always so excited to open their one present on Christmas Eve. However, they have started to complain that they are always new pajama's! So mom and dad told them that we will not be opening any presents on Christmas Eve any more if they continue to complain about it! With that being said, they were so happy with their new pajama's and they all looked so cute! This year we were trying to conserve money, so Josh and I did not get new pajamas like normal!  Tenley got to open two presents because her mom gave her the wrong present. The loved her new Frozen dress!

Special Guest Day

The boys had Special Guest Day at their school on Friday December 19th, so we all got to go eat lunch at the school. It was a beautiful day outside and the lunch room was so crowded, that we decided to eat outside! Tucker found lunch and went to town! The boys showed us how they could jump rope and played a little basketball with their dad.  We all had a great time.

Tucker is 11 months old in these pictures. I cannot believe how fast he is growing up! It makes me so sad! He loves to play with his brothers and it is so cute that his brothers love to play with him. They love to help him take a bath, play ball with him, and snuggle next to him! He is in the phase of screaming at the top of his lungs when he wants something! It makes my ears ring! He loves to eat and has become very good a chewing things with his 6 front teeth! He is a very happy little guy and we all just love him to pieces!

Cutting down Christmas Trees

Tucker fell asleep on his dad's shoulder while we drove home..it was just so precious

Tucker was so tired after church that he didn't even finish his bottle

Every year we go cut down our Christmas Tree. We went with the Nelson's, Jill's family and her boyfriend, Randy and his kids. We had a great time and it was a beautiful day! Last year there was snow on the ground and it was so cold and this year we were in t-shirts. The kids had fun finding little Christmas trees, climbing trees, and playing with their friends. We enjoyed a nice little picnic and then we headed to find some more firewood and the others headed back home. We got a good amount of firewood and filled the trailer full.  We headed for home and then Josh and I were going to go Christmas shopping. Tag came running inside crying and holding his head. At first, I just thought that he hit his head and it was hurting him, but then I saw the blood dripping all over the floor. I knew that Josh and I would not be going shopping, but to the ER. We loaded everyone into the truck and headed for the ER. It was nice because we didn't have to wait very long for Tag to get all fixed up. He ended up having to get 2 staples and Josh said he did so good! He only said "ouch" when he stapled in each staple. His head was a little sore for the next couple of days, but he really was a trooper! He had to have them in for 7 days and then his dad thought he could take them out with his dremel. I thought he was completely crazy, but after some time the staples were out.

Thanksgiving

Last year we got to watch Ty in Mrs. Pulsiper's Thanksgiving play and this year we got to watch Tag in that same play! I was so proud of how awesome he did! He missed a lot of practices because we were in Oklahoma for an entire week! He was one of the reporters, just like his brother Ty was and did a great job! Then for Thanksgiving break we headed up to Alamo to have Thanksgiving with Karla, Kelly, and Seth! We had a great and relaxing time while we were there! Grandma bought this princess matching game and Tenley and Tag LOVED playing it! There were lots of matching games played and they usually beat the adults! Josh, me, Kelly, Karla, and Seth played some pretty fun card games. Kelly was so grumpy and it was so funny to watch him play cards! Grandma loved doing Tenley's hair and she looked so beautiful just like she always does! Tucker found a car in Grandpa's garage that he LOVED and couldn't get enough of! He looked so cute behind the wheel...just smiling away! Love that little boy! I think it is safe to say that we had  a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Uncle Rod's Funeral

A very sad and tragic thing happened in the Jensen Family. I was at home and Josh was working out. Josh called and told me that his Uncle Rod had been killed in a very tragic car accident earlier that morning in Las Vegas. I was in total shock and could not believe what I was hearing. Rod had been through so much over the past couple of years and finally was doing so great and now this. He survived a major heart attack and now a car accident takes his life! I was really worried about Josh and how he would handle this. Rod and Josh were really close and I knew this would hit him so hard. It was a very tough week and I just tried to be as supportive as I could with Josh. I also worried so much about Cabe and Tanya and how they were doing. I just can't imagine losing my dad and felt so bad for them. We had Rod's funeral on Saturday November 22, 2014. It was a wonderful service full of great stories about Uncle Rod and the kind of man he was. We laughed a lot and cried a lot! It was hard to watch Cabe and Tanya talk about their dad! Rod was a wonderful man and I am so thankful that I got to know him. He always gave me the biggest hug and made me feel so loved! I always loved how he would ask my kids if they needed a "boot in their butt!" He was a rough and tough kind of cowboy, but he could also be the biggest teddy bear! We love you so much Rod and hope you know how much we will miss you!!!

Tag's Speed Meet and Oklahoma

The only picture taken while we were in Oklahoma

On Thursday November 6th, Tag had his Speed Meet. He had to qualify for the speed meet and was so proud of himself! We were excited to see him race. He did a great job and qualified for a couple of the finals. The Bulldogs were really good racers and I am pretty sure they practiced a lot  more than we did! I was so proud of my Tag for giving it is all! Right after the speed meet, we headed for Oklahoma for some white tail hunting and family time. The drive actually went really well and we really enjoyed our week in Oklahoma. Josh got to do lots of hunting with dad and the kids did lots of playing. It was great to spend time with my sister and help decorate some of the  walls in her new house! The kids, of course, loved going bowling with their grammy and spending the money they earned with strikes and spares. It was a great family vacation. I just wish I would have taken more pictures!!
