4th of July

The 4th of July was a great day! We started out that morning in a little neighborhood parade with the Whipple Family! We decorated the bikes and strollers and the boys were just so excited! They raced around the neighborhood several times and were so hot and tired by the end of it! We ate cupcakes, watermelon, popsicles, and homemade rootbeer! I was so bummed that I forgot the camera! I had it out and left the house without it! Thanks Raegan for the pictures! Josh was working that day, so it seemed like a normal day for us! We went home and got ready for the BBQ we were having that afternoon!

We had the Greigs, Nelsons, and Adams families over and had a great time! The weather was WONDERUL and the kids even said they were cold after they were done swimming and playing in the water! I think it is always great to see the kids playing and having fun! That is one of the best things about being a parent! The adults had a great time chatting it up too!

The kids didn't take a nap that day, so I told them they couldn't go see the fireworks because they were falling apart by that time! Ty and I sat out on the porch thinking we would be able to see the fireworks, but now we know that you can't see them from our house! We did our own little fireworks and sang patriotic songs and that was good enough for us!

How grateful I am for a FREE Country! I am so thankful for the men and women who fight and haven given there lives so that I can have the freedoms I do! We live in the greatest country in the world and I hope that continues! I pray that the people of this great country will unite together and pick the right person to lead our country this coming November!

i just love this picture of Anna
So I just found these pictures and realized I missed blogging them! We had a water party in our backyard after school was out and all the kids had a blast playing with each other! No one wanted to leave when it was time to go home and take naps...that is always a good sign! Esther and Lauren are both pregnant...Lauren has had her baby since then, but Esther isn't due until August! Jill and I were so thankful that we were not in their shoes...it was already hot enough! I have the greatest friends in the world and I just love it when we get together and all our kids can play and have fun!

On our way back from Bear Lake, the Scott Family (my maiden name) was having a birthday party for my Uncle Emory, who was visiting from Australia! I haven't seen my Aunt and Uncle for a very long time and it was so wonderful to see them and spend time together! On the way to Bear Lake I kept thinking, "how am I going to see all of my family?" My dad's side all live in Ogden and my mom's side all live in Logan, plus my 2 brothers that live in Utah! It is a ton of people to see! My next thought was, "wouldn't it be great if they were having a family get together!" Well, about 3 days before we were leaving the cabin, we got a text from my Aunt Crystal letting us know that there would be a birthday party for Emory at her house! Perfect! I didn't get to see all of my cousins, but I did get to see a lot of them and all of my Aunts and Uncles who live in Ogden! We had a wonderful time and the kids had a blast meeting more of their cousins! Also, my cousin Winfield and his wife Emily and there 4 kids moved to the states from Australia and I got to see Winfield after years (since I was a young child) and meet his wife and children! We are so happy to have them living in Utah! Even though they don't live that far away, we just don't get to see them that often! It is sad, but I really cherish the times that I do get to see them! It was nice that my brother Mike, his wife Brita, and their children were able to be there! So I got my wish and was able to see most of my family while I was in Utah visiting! What a wonderful blessing!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tenley

On Thursday, July 5th, Tenley turned 2 years old! We were headed to the Bundy Family Reunion, so we decided to celebrate her birthday on the 4th! We were having friends over for a BBQ and thought it would perfect timing to celebrate her birthday! She got a new sleeping bag, camp chair, and a little tricycle! She LOVED all her presents!

Tenley is our little comic relief! She is so dang funny and makes us all laugh! She loves to play with her brothers and always wants to do what they do! She loves to wear different shoes and clothes all day long! I cannot keep up with all the clothes she gets out everyday! I now keep her door closed so she can't get into her dresser.  She is a HANDFUL! She gets into everything and climbs up on everything! She recently learned how to open the fridge and I am always fearful what she is doing when I am in another room! She loves to be outside and seems to always get wet! She couldn't be any cuter if she tried and we just love her to bits! She loves to say "hello and goodbye" to everyone! Her new thing is giving kisses on  your cheeks! She will give me a kiss on one cheek and then say, "one, one" meaning "the other one!" It is the sweetest thing ever! She loves to dance and anytime the music turns on she is feeling the beat and she is really good at it! She always tells mom,"umba, umba mom!" This means she wants me to turn on my Zumba tapes! She isn't potty trained yet. but has gone on the potty a couple of times! I figure we will work on that when she is really ready! Her favorite song to sing in "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and it so dang cute when she sings it! She is our sweet little Tenley, Ten, Burgers, Ten Ten, and Tinnie! We Love You So Much!!
