This the County Fair was lots of fun! The boys were so excited to go and ride the rides and see all the animals! They had fun last year, but with them being older, they really got excited! There is nothing sweeter than seeing your children with big smiles on their faces and just totally enjoying life. My friends and I usually meet up on Thursday to see all the animals, crafts, tractors, etc. and then save the rides for when our husbands are there. Before we left for the fair, Ty said he wanted to see a Zebra and a Dragon! Of course I thought, they don't have Zebra's or Dragons at the Fair and I just hoped that Ty wouldn't be crushed! It was crazy because this year the petting zoo brought a zebra and we saw a "dragon" lizard! Ty was really excited and just knew he would see a zebra and dragon at the fair! We saw pigs, cows, goats, turkeys, peacocks, chickens, bunnies, snakes, lizards, and ducks at the small animal pavilion. The boys love to go see all the animals, but boy it is stinky in there. Being pregnant my nose is so very sensitive to smells, so I was ready to be done with all the animals! Oh, the petting zoo also brought some baby porcupines, a baby kangaroo, a monkey, and I think it was an ant eater! The boys loved it and they especially loved holding the kangaroo...they were so gentle too. I think their baby sister might have a chance!
They boys wanted to see the tractors and engines over and over again! I think we ended up seeing them 3 different times that day! They are pretty neat! I was so grateful for my washer and dryer when I saw the washing machine they used back in the day! It would take forever to do laundry!! In fact, I don't think you would ever stop doing it or you would seriously have to limit the amount of clothes you wore! After several hours of the fair on Thursday, I was exhausted and the kids were in need of a nap! The only thing I was looking for were some cute baby headbands, but I didn't find any! I later heard that I missed where they were...what a bummer!
On Friday, we left for the fair in the morning! Me and the boys were so happy that daddy was with us! The boys couldn't wait to ride rides, but they didn't open until 12:00, so we looked at tractors and motors again, the small animals, and ate lunch. We met our friends, Brian, Jill, Isaac, and Jackson there and our boys rode the rides together! Since Jill and I are both pregnant, her husband was a good sport and rode some of the rides with the kids! He was really a trooper. They really wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, so they stood in line for about 45 min. and Josh and I took Tag on some rides! He was having so much fun on all the rides and he especially loved it when he had 2 steering wheels all to himself. I tried to get some good pictures, but it's a little harder when the rides are moving! I don't know if they had a favorite ride because we rode them all over and over! In fact, it was such a nice hot day, that we told the boys we needed to have a little break and come back in about an hour or so! You would have thought their little worlds had ended...crying, crying, and more crying! We ended up going back to Jill and Brian's and relaxed for a couple of hours! The air conditioning was great and the boys didn't want to nap, but enjoyed playing with all the toys!
We went back around 3:00 or 3:30 and didn't leave until 7:45! I was absolutely exhausted and wanted to fall into bed and sleep for a long, long time! The boys didn't really want to leave, but they had no choice...we as parents were SO DONE! I will say that I had a great time and look forward to the Fair next year!
