I cannot believe that Tenley is already 2 months old. She has gotten so big and it makes me sad to know that she will never be that small again. She is such a sweet little girl and really has been a good baby. I have not gotten her on a strict schedule yet, but we do pretty good. She hasn't learned to fall asleep on her own very good. That is partly because we were in Oklahoma for 4 weeks and the fact that her daddy can't handle his little girl crying...he just wants to snuggle her. She has also had a little cold twice in her little life and that has affected her sleeping. When she gets better and we get a mattress cover for her crib, then I will work on the learning to fall asleep on her own. I have always done "Babywise" with my kids and it is wonderful, but I just haven't been as good with baby #3. Also, I read an article about SIDS and until I get this mattress protector, I am hesitant to let her sleep in her crib. To make me even more scared, a couple in our ward lost their newborn baby yesterday and they think it is due to SIDS. My heart sank when I heard the news and I had a really hard time the rest of the day. As I lay in bed, I thanked Heavenly Father for my little girl and asked that he would be with this couple who are suffering from loss and help heal their hearts. If you have a newborn, I encourage you to read this article on SIDS. Although the United States will not look into it, New Zealand has done a study and those families who use these mattress protectors have not lost a child to SIDS. Yes, they cost $40, but it is worth it to me to save my child. Last night Josh and I took the mattress out of the bassinet and just layered it with a blankets for padding (don't worry we made sure she wouldn't suffocate from them) because we wanted to protect her. To let you know, companies have to put fire retardant chemicals on mattresses and they think that the babies inhale the fumes and this is what causing them to die. This is why they encourage parents to put their babies on their backs because they are further away from these chemicals. Anyhow, if you want to know more, read this article. http://www.healthychild.com/toxic-sleep/has-the-cause-of-crib-death-sids-been-found/
On a happier note, Ty started Pre-School this week and is loving it. It has been great for both of us because I am able to spend some one on one time with Tag while he is gone and Ty is learning new things and loving it. The first day when I dropped him off I didn't get teary eyed, but I did feel a little sad that my baby is all grown up. It is hard to believe that he is already in pre-school. I just love these pictures of Tag and Ty. Tag wanted to go to pre-school too, so I let him get all dressed up in his nicer clothes, get his hair done, and have a fun snack too. When I picked Ty up he said, "Mom, I was so starving at school today!" and "Mom, I was so tired at school today!" I just grinned and laughed inside....so so cute!

Your kids are so cute! Ty & Tag remind me of my boys when you try to take a picture. Too much fun!
Cute! Such a fun little family! SIDS freaks me out and I was super paranoid about it when our boys were itty-bitty. I can't imagine losing a child that way (or any way for that matter). Oh, and that is hilarious that Ty is already tired at school, if only he knew what the coming years were bringing ...... ;-)
Your Tenley is sure getting big! How cute. Is it just me or is something wrong with the blog? When I come to it, the big picture at the top is covering some of your first post. My computer?
