Mom and Carrie doing the Wii Just Dance 2...too funny
Me at the top of the hike we took at Red Rock Canyon..behind me is all of Vegas
A little opening in the rodk that we all squeezed into...Carrie did not want to hike, so she stayed at the hotel

For our Girls Trip this year, we headed to Las Vegas! We decided to go to Vegas because it would be cheaper for the majority of us to get there...however, Carrie moved to Oklahoma so it was not closer for her. We also thought mom and Lauri could get cheap airfare, but it was the most expensive out of any of our trips! We stayed for a week and had lots of fun, but I think we all agreed that we would never go to Vegas again! It was great for me because it was a little over an hour for me to drive there, but I would still rather go back to Phoenix! It took forever to get anywhere because of all the traffic. We were right off the strip so we just felt like it was so "CRAZY" instead of "RELAXING" like the previous years! The place we stayed at was smaller and we have been use to more room to relax! I know I am just being so dang pickey...but we seem to compare everything to our first trip in Phoenix! We have decided instead of trying new things, maybe we should stick to what we know we will like. Please do not get me wrong, we had a great time! We went shopping, hiking, lounged by the pool the last 2 days because once again the weather wasn't very good for the first few days! With that being said, it was absolutely gorgeous the week before. My mom loves to gamble, so we even went gamble for her! We did the strip one day, but it just felt so icky, congested, and full of so many people that we got our fill and didn't want to go back! We kept saying...this is what hell must feel like!! I got my sisters and mom to try the "Just Dance 2" on the wii and we had so much fun laughing at each other! Instead of going to the gym, this is what I did for my exercise! It was great to spend time with my sisters, mom and sister-in-laws! It is also nice to get away and sleep in and just do whatever you want!
The one good thing about going to Vegas was that while I was there, my father-in-law had a heart attack and was life flighted to Vegas. However, I left my phone in the car and everyone else put there's on vibrate for the night, so Josh could not get a hold of me until the next morning around 7:00am! I felt so terrible that he wasn't able to reach. To make matters worse, his truck broke down the day before I left and he had no vehicle to drive, so he had no way to get the Vegas either! I told him there were plenty of people who would let him borrow their vehicle, but he didn't want to put anyone out! I finally convinced him to call our friend whose parents are on a mission and borrow their car! He was trying to make it before his dad went into to surgery, but he just missed him. I knew he really wanted to be there and I wanted him to be able to see his dad! I never would have forgiven myself if something had happened and he didn't get to see his dad! Everything went great with the surgery and he had 3 stints put in one of his arteries and now he feels like a new man again! It was a very scary thing to go through and I think it was a huge wake-up call for all of us to eat healthier and take care of our bodies! He is back home now and back to work and this certainly didn't slow him down for too long! I don't think I will ever live down not having my phone by me when the call came! Josh was livid with me and I don't blame him!
It was a good trip and I look forward to many more!
