Ty and his friend Isaac

When I got home from the girls trip, I told Josh, "I think Sugar is pregnant!" He said, "you said that last summer and she wasn't, so she probably isn't!" Well, a couple of weeks later when we got back from Alamo, I went to check on her and she was in the process of having her first puppy! She had dug a huge hole under our back steps and I am guessing that is where she was planning on keeping her puppies! We quickly brought inside to our laundry room and from 8 to midnight, she had 4 of the cutest little puppies! We are not sure what she mated with, but they look like labs and she was found with a yellow male lab, so we are hoping they are labs! We have never had puppies before and were not sure what to do, so I called my dad and he let me know that she would do everything and we could go to bed! Easier said than done because I wasn't able to sleep for sometime! They are now 9 days old and getting bigger and bigger each day! The boys just love to hold the puppies, but we only let them hold them for a very short time until they get a little older. They are so fun to cuddle with, but we are only keeping 1. We are just hoping we can sell the other 3. She had 2 boys and 2 girls. I am a little worried about keeping all of them inside our house until they are 8 weeks old...Josh tells me that I have 7 kids to take care of and it is so true! I have been so behind since they have been born, but they sure are cute!
For over a month we have been planning to go camping with my good friend Jill and her 3 kids! We went this past weekend and had such a great time! The boys were so excited to get to sleep in a tent and make SMORES! The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast! We got there on Friday afternoon and set up camp and then went on the CRAZIEST Rhino ride! We actually camped at the very spot that Josh and I met almost 7 years ago and we haven't been back since! Josh took us on the same trail from 7 years ago, but there was no longer a trail there just tons of big rocks everywhere! We (me and the kids) got out of the Rhino quite a few times because I was too nervous. Josh and Jill did great at driving and I held Tenley and Anna who are 12 days apart! The boys loved it and we had a great time, but it took us a long time to get back to camp! There were a couple of close calls, but we made it and will never go that way again! When we got back to camp everyone was hungry, so my friend Jill made us dutch oven potatoes and yummy apple cobbler! The kids didn't enjoy the cobbler and were so excited to roast marshmellows and make smores! We started making the smores, but they really didn't like them, so they ate the marshmellows and chocolate bars seperately! We had a great day, but were all so exhausted...especially the babies! We got settled in our tents and everyone fell asleep pretty quickly except for Tenley! She was so tired that she kept crawling and crying all over the tent! I tried to sing to her, hold her, but she just wouldn't settle down for a good 20 to 30 minutes! When she finally fell asleep it was great, but then I slept horrible because she wanted to sleep on top of my face the entire night...never again will I go camping without the porta crib!
It was fun to wake up and see the sunrise and smell the fresh air! The boys looked so cute when they woke up and I loved seeing Tenley curled up to her daddy! We got out of bed and had delicious breakfast burritos and then Josh took the boys on a little Rhino ride to look for bunnies! They had a blast!! Jill and I stayed back with the girls and got things ready to pack up. She left soon after that, but we took the boys on a Rhino and let them shoot the gun and play in the water! They were so proud of the squirrel their dad shot! It was fun to watch them go pick it up by the tail! We had a great weekend camping trip and I hope that we will have many more memories like this!
